I have a hard time waiting to let the broccoli get to full size. I am usually itching to harvest them on the small side. But tend to forget about the little shoots after.
Also we should get more rain tomorrow than we got in nearly 3 months. I did get half of the mulch on my pepper and tomato rows. Beautiful broccoli that might be the largest I've seen I like Gurney seed company produce Thanks
None of my broccoli seeds sprouted in the fall. I'm zone 6a I think in southern mo. When do you start them in the fallaand do you cover them when it snows?
For a fall harvest, I start seed in early July, transplant early to mid August and typically harvest late October into early November. And yes, I do cover them frost cloth when the weather gets nasty.

Hi Jenna! My Burgundy broccoli has a 6 inch immature main head and several side shoots. We’re due for 24 F on Sunday. Does Burgundy withstand freezes or should I harvest before Sunday? Thanks!
Hello! If it were me, I’d harvest- the plant will likely survive and may even produce a few more shoots if we warm back up, but those florets will likely freeze and then get mushy.
Wow! Amazing
Those first two looked great! Happy growing! Be well.
Thank you!
They look sooo good ! Well done
Thank you!

Looking good. Love broccoli. I have to wait awhile longer but have it going. Picked radishes yesterday. They grew amazingly fast.
Thanks! You’ll be enjoying yours before you know it!

Right now my broccoli is about two feet high with no broccoli. They are plant bags. What do you think is going on . I planted them in April.
Do you have any tips on growing broccoli. Mine always bolts before it can form a head.
