Thank you so,so much, Penny! This is truly life saving information! I watched it in tears hoping I had watched it about 8 years ago when I became perimenopause and had zero idea about what was gradualy turning my mental and physical well being upside down. Ultimately, the rollercoaster of emotions and physical changes erroded my marriage of almost 25 years leading it to a recent divorce. It wasn't until very recently that I started listening to the HRT topic in more depth and putting the puzzle pieces together. It never ocurred to me that the overwhelming feeling of burnout, stress, lack of sleep, mood swings, lack of libido and everything in between could be related to my hormones. I was so busy raising kids, with the household, working outside the home etc. that I let myself down. I'm now working hard trying not to blame myself. Thank you for the candid and invaluable conversation. I'll make sure to share with friends and urge them to spread the word. It's my biggest hope that moving forward no woman/family will have to endure such unecessary pain.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!❤

My doctor had told me that I had to go to an infectious disease doctor to determine why I was continuously having UTI’s. I knew that this was not the route I should go but, o had not clue until I saw Dr. Haver and she mentioned vaginal estrogen could completely eliminate them. I had been given vaginal estrogen by an OBGYN for painful sex but, I stopped because of two spinal fusions and two bone infections. I started the estrogen again a few months ago and no UTI’s!!
    Amazing!
Thank you so much Dr. Haver!!

I stopped going to doctors completely because I was tired of the gaslighting and antidepressants being their only answer.
Also, I’m sick of health care providers asking me what I want them to do. I’m an electrician, if I got a service call for someone’s breaker constantly tripping I wouldn’t show up and ask the client what they wanted me to do.

I eat really well but cannot lose the weight! It’s so frustrating since I’m 53 with a 17 year old daughter with no energy and wearing around an extra person. I literally feel hopeless in getting my self back. I’m hoping I can find something someday…. I’ll try to see if her book has any answers. Thank you for doing this. Sweating in Portland. 😘🥵

Honest to goodness this is the best video that came out of all the amazing videos you guys made at the Creator House. I teared up, thinking about all the pain and heartache. I could’ve saved myself how I had this information when I was perimenopausal and menopausal. I’m the same age as Angie and this is coming to me a little too late although I have happily been on bioidentical hormones for the past five years. My first dose was way too low, but I finally got a Doctor Who heard me and upped all my dosage. What a difference that made.
I must applaud Justin for being there and participating! It makes such a difference when men listen to what we have to say about menopause. I was happy that my husband began to participate more as time went on, and he saw my symptoms as a health concern rather than a loss of libido or whatever it’s a conversation that really needs to be had between couples because, I think a lot of men take it personally and think you just don’t love them anymore or are attracted to them anymore or whatever. In the meantime, we are psychologically and physically struggling with the body. That is very unfamiliar to us. Bravo to all of you for this extremely important conversation. I am so impressed with this doctors knowledge and perspectives

I have endometriosis. It is driven my estrogen and it was severe. I am retired from medical field and had access to many physicians. I have had mixed response to my using estrogen … some say it’s ok and many, even the drug representatives for vaginal estrogen say “don’t touch it”. I have known those who have never used HRT and those that have that developed breast cancer. I’m almost 72 so wouldn’t begin at this age although I do believe topical estrogen for genitourinary issues would be helpful. I wish I had known this 30 years ago and thank goodness Dr Haver is here🤗

Wow. Just. Wow. I have been menopausal since age 40, and have suffered horribly from hot flashes. I am now 68. At one point I said, "maybe, if I get breast cancer, I will die. If I do not sleep, I definitely will die." So a practitioner gave me Ambien. (I am a RN, so I know a little bit.) I have taken everything; pills, patches, bio-identical hormones, even Prempro (which I resisted because its method of manufacture is abhorrent), and nothing worked. I gave up. I'm flashing as I type this. I am depressed, miserable, unmotivated. Maybe I was under-dosed? Maybe the practitioners were idiots. I probably saw 10 of them. On Monday I will call a local provider who is an NCMP, and seek relief, once again.

I have had several conversations with Dr Haver and I was SO thankful that Angie was in this one, we focused on perimenopause (where I am) and post menopause (where Angie is). Now I know that you (Nancy) can possibly get relief even though it’s been many years- with a nuanced conversation with your doctor, no plaque in your arteries and good heart scan you should be good to go (clearly I’m simplifying but you know what I mean). That’s SO EXCITING.

I was told last year I was not perimenopausal, having out of control symptoms including heavy periods at 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, was told I have several cysts and fibroids with possible endometriosis and would need to consider a hysterectomy because the ablations would only be temporary. This year with a different dr( because I moved) I was told I’m in menopause. He did an exam and said he didn’t feel any fibroids large enough to cause concern ( just with physical exam). Scheduled zero tests, ultrasounds etc except for bloodwork and told me to come back in three years. Because of my pushback, he offered Effexor. I have made an appointment with a different dr.

I’ve watched this video TWICE. It’s so informative. My most outward perimenopause symptom (self diagnosed, so said with caution) is heart palpitations. When I started having palpitations for days on end, literally non stop, I began a very dissatisfying journey into testing. I have been amazed and dismayed at the medical field when dealing with, not just “women’s health” but women in general. I have been dismissed and considered over reactive. For example, when my husband had a heart issue the doctor saw him immediately, sent him to a cardiologist within days and developed a plan. When I started having issues, I was sent to the emergency room but then was sent home, saw my doctor a week later who referred me to a cardiologist who did not get me in for 2 weeks. He gave me a week long heart monitor, which definitely showed information, but did not get me in for a stress test for another 4 to 5 weeks.
Anyway, I’m just venting. Thank you again, Penny, for diving into this issue. If it weren’t for you, I don’t know that I would have recognized the possibility that this is a menopausal symptom. I have hope again that there might be something I can do, and I have resources to arm myself. ❤

I am so mad at this. I had a complete hysterectomy at 42. Went through immediate menopause. Felt terrible. Tried to get help from my regular doctor and they put me on lexipro. Gained so much weight. Finally at age 56 I was so sick of feeling terrible I decided to do the research and fix it myself after asking my doctor to help. So I started eating different only Whole Foods and walking. Felt a little better lost 40 lbs. Still overweight at age 58 I decided I would try something different and read about how much protein I needed and started lifting weights. Also went to a hormone doctor that I have to pay out of pocket for that. Got my hormones right, lifted weights 6 days a week. I lost 60 lbs in a year. I’m feeling much better. I stopped taking lexipro when I started lifting weights. I’m a little concerned about the cardiovascular though because I did not get checked to see if I had build up. I feel much better, healthy and I’m in best shape of my life at 61. I’m so tired of doctors telling women just deal with it your getting older.

Penn, I loved this, I've been trying to figure out my health or the lack there of for years, I'm 69 and had a hysterectomy when I was 33. Last year I asked my Nurse Practicioner to put me on HRT and vaginal estrogen, and she did. In October on the 29th I went into heart failure and was admitted to the hospital for 6 days. So I took off the patch and have not used it or the vaginal estorgen since. Watching this I put a patch on and used my vaginal estrogen. I knew better, I've been a follower of Dr. Christine Northrup, who is of the same mind set as you Dr. on this show. I'm going to get her book as soon as I can. I'm doing very well with my heart, but literally nothing else...I could go on for and on but I've said enough thank you for this. I Look forward to more❣

I’m a dietitian and personal trainer, have lifted heavy weights for 30 years and always eaten healthy, zero alcohol ever. I have osteopenia and peri-menopausal with tons of night sweats and hot flashes the past 5 years or so. After I’m done with radiation my oncologist suggested removal of ovaries and taking aromatase inhibitor. How do I manage the symptoms when I have to block all hormones? He said even the raspberry leaf tea that seemed to help with my night sweats may not be the best idea. Basically any supplement that helps symptoms he suggested I avoid.

So I’m definitely in perimenopause with some symptoms. I love the evamist bc it’s very very easy to do, penetrates fast and doesn’t leave any residue behind.
Everything I’ve learned tells me my estrogen is already in major decline even though I’m not yet technically in menopause. I’ll be 51 soon and want to do all that I can to protect my brain, bones, skin etc.
Check out Dr Lisa Mosconi - she is a neuroscientist (and author….two must read books) who talks about estrogen through the perimenopause transition and how it is protective of our BRAIN. That alone is a convincing reason to use HRT (for me ❤️) 😊

Hey, sweetie, I am also on the HRT train as of a few years ago but a bumpy ride and because of a number of the issues discussed not sure where I am atm. 😅 At 61, I went in for what I thought was a UTI but even after antibiotics still had issues. Saw a urologist and told I had a cyst and to use a tube of vaginal estrogen. Still felt irritated after one tube. Told to just continue using. Started researching symptoms which led to HRT and down a rabbit hole I went and many books, articles and studies later I realized that a number of my other complaints over the years were related to menopause - heart palpitations, brain fog 😶‍🌫️ , headaches, sleeplessness, etc. Asked my dr at Kaiser and was given oral estrogen and progesterone. Been on them a couple years, 65 now 🤭 and at the standard dosage. I had an endometrial ablation at 48 so I have no idea when I would have gone into ‘menopause’. I don’t know if I was within the ten year timing window when I started. I didn’t have a calcium score or any scans done of my arteries. We have met long time ago when I drove down to see my son when he lived in Vancouver, so you know I am not a big person and I am active. I quit smoking some time ago and drink only a couple times a year. I have low cholesterol, low blood pressure and am not diabetic. No family history of heart attacks or strokes. My little sister mentioned she had a blood clot in her leg and been hospitalized so I have asked to be switched to the patch. Will see how that goes.
Thanks so much for putting this on your channel! It is important information! 💕
