One of Jason’s best no matter how bad the temper of the times. We live in an age when it’s normal to fling the accusation of cannibalistic pedophelia like you’re talking about the weather if in fact we can really call what’s outside ‘weather’ anymore. When true and false lost their meaning. I didn’t anticipate that did you ? And add the quarter million and rising dead from COVID-19. Until this very day stubbornly wishing it away has failed. I’m down in the dumps too and feel your pain. As for affecting your narration I heard none of that here. This was one of the best. It was also another conceptual headf**k but that’s ok. In fact I come here specifically to have my mind warped. Looks like we should have taken that ‘Gates of Hell’ more literally because those death hordes came from somewhere. I want to read everything by Grimm and will get everything from his site that’s affordable. With all due respect Amazon can shove it. I have been told that envy is a sin but it is awfully hard not to hate a trillionare. If you believe as I do that the greatest fortunes are built on ruined lives and those burned out ruined towns sprouting up all across the country. Those translate into destroyed lives, suicide and death. A bunch of people in Methuen send their love. I spread the Jason Hill gospel.

Hopefully we’ll get back to having SFX and additional voice actors at some point but if you want more varied tones I could recommend any number of Horror Hill episodes. Jar Baby, Storybook Gothic, Lighthouse, The Stagnant Breath of Change, Crooks Lansing by Scaffold, etc.
I could recommend more if you like.

The most horrifying thing about this episode of the podcast was the fucking ad in the middle for the goddamn Mormon/LDS church (BYU TV). hey guys? I fucking love this podcast and Jason's delivery of these horrifying stories. However if you sell out to abusers and cult-like leaders, I will abandon you like I abandoned that nightmare of a church.
Sure, the YT version didn't get the Mormon ad. the podcast app version definitely did.
If the host did not personally perform the ad, the ad is programmatic/dynamic, and was auto-inserted via a marketplace, exactly like how ads stream on CZcams and other streaming platforms. We have little control over this. Ads also vary based on listeners' locations and other factors. We did not personally endorse any church or religious program.
Also Jason, you had mentioned brush fires, I hope you're not in the middle of any of these California fires, they've been brutal.

I am safe and sound, but thank you so much for your concern. We had some bad air and it snowed ash a few times but it never got as bad as California around here even though it was briefly looking grim.

Mr. Hill is just an amazing storyteller. This storyline was a tad boring for me (just not a fan of this particular subject so nothing against the author), but it was well written and I stayed tuned til the end as usual. Keep up the excellent work sir.

I just can’t get over how cheesy and over the top the acting is in a lot of these. It’s like a parody of acting. I’ve enjoyed several of these stories and the performances, but lately I keep getting distracted by the terrible acting.
This is eerily like the pro jab phenomenon.
