- The final look into my 180 gallon aquarium before the fish transfer to the 500 gallon plywood aquarium. Wanted to make this video to not only document the last day of the 180 gallon tank as we know it, but also to discuss what cichlids and fish will be stocking the new big aquarium.
It's bittersweet changing up the 180 gallon aquarium that I've loved over the years, but I'm very excited to give the cichlids and upgrade, and to restock the 180 gallon with some new fish!

Sorry to hear about your Severum. That sucks when you’ve had a fish for awhile only to use it to aggression. Hopefully the move to the 500g plywood tank will lessen the aggression. The Uaru will get HUGE in their new digs. Glad to see the Jackary get put to good use and giving you piece of mind at the same time.
A central American tank is an awesome tank to have.

You should use a heavy dosage of salt when your fish gets injured the salt will help the wound heal and keep it from getting infected. It worked for me, for cichlids, catfish and pretty much everything.

Yep! If there’s ever an outage, I’ll probably run the filters only, and maybe a few heaters, from all of the big tanks 👌🏻

Dovii would outgrow that tank, so it will probably be Midas or Humbi at a guess 👍🫠
A single dovii would not.
@@CichlidBrosNot for a long time but after a few years, a male fully grown Dovii would have a job turning round in a 2 foot width tank they can grow to nearly 30 inches true though they would be stunted slightly kept in a smaller tank, so you might get away with it. I for one, hope you do get a Dovii because they’re awesome :)👍
I had zero aggression issues until i moved my fish to a bigger tank. Things might get worse, you never know. I had some eba's pair up that i didnt even know were male and female and now they are aggressively removing everyone from all the decor. As if 125 gallons of water isnt enough. Smh. I'm going to have to do something. Not sure what. Split them up? Remove them both? I would need another tank. How big would 2 ebas need to breed? Already had to take out my black ghost knife and im worried about my clown loaches, they insist on effing around and are going to find out.

It’ll keep the life support going for a long time. Especially if I space it out. Recharging thru the solar panels would give me long term power
can you keep a single geo sveni in a tank? i thought they were better in schools? i have room for one fish in my current tank and would consider a sveni if an option.
I've had them in both situations, and they do great either way. The group can actually be trickier to get right, if you have breeding or a bad M/F ratio
