The Chinook is truly a masterpiece of aviation and rotorcraft engineering. They have a very distinctive sound due to the tandem rotors working in sync and they spin much faster than they appear. You just know that it is a Chinook when you hear that sound. Sometimes I think the sound is as recognisable as the aircraft itself. The unit cost of a Chinook is reportedly 28 million USD.
I heard that sound a few years ago from my neigbourhood and went outside. I knew it was a Chinook flying over us. It was dark outside so I couldn't see it apart from the lights.
A few days later, I heard it again and this time it was in broad daylight, so I went out to see. There it was, a tandem rotor masterpiece craft soaring majestically above us with the rotors in full speed. All I could do was just stare in awe. I believe it was the same one and looked like an RAF one (British Air Force who use UK variants licensed by Boeing)

Well... I don't even know... to me it sounds like all the other helicopters... although maybe it's just because the microphone on the camera is not able to transmit the sound the same way it sounds in reality... IRL I've only heard the Mi-24, Mi-8 and Mi-2.

Erich Hartmann well she is the US Militaries fastest helicopter if you exclude the V-22 Osprey. AH-64 Apache gunships will tell you when escorting the CH-47 after she drops her load or picks up her load they cannot keep up with her as she high tails it out.
The Osprey in flight is an airplane even though it takes off and lands vertical

Just a toy when compared to Mil MI-26.
MI-26 can lift a Chinook up in the air and also it has higher troop carriage capacity than Chinook.

MI-26 has a tail rotor that is failure prone. Look up how many people crash in an MI-26. This is no toy.
