Just found this site and this interview session made me smile and sad. I graduated from a BSN program in 1983! and I am still licensed.(but not crusty- Mike ) I am in Occupational Health now (better hours and work life balance! ) Your discussion made me sad in that the cons of bedside nursing have not changed since I graduated. Working through breaks, low staffing, limited administrative support, and pay(compared to other professionals). The bit about time spent on nursing careplans in school made me laugh- I remember those days and we all felt the same way!!
I enjoyed the positives of this video in seeing that all of you are in nursing for the right reasons, despite the cons you can tell you are still doing your best for your patients and supporting other healthcare workers. I thought you addressed many helpful tips and insights. Mike- your recap of each section was great! Keep up the good work !!

I'm curious if they're working with those long nails and polished. In my worked experienced as a nurse, we are not allowed to have nail polished, and I always cut my finger nails short because I can't put the gloves with long finger nails, other wise it will make a hole to the gloves. Anyway, I appreciated their being straight forward.
