What about nwr #2 and #4,#5
@@JustTomYTreckless I'm less hopeful about #2 and #5 but #4 might have a chance to be preserved

"I'm sorry to say that many little children are often late for school because they like to visit the engine slumbering in the forest."
“Ah yes, I can imagine why. It sure is hard to resist the amazing stories he tells.”
You just made me cry even more

I just got done crying and I'm about to cry again 😭
@@EssDee40 "Well,Should we take a field trip to the engine?"
Asked the assistant teacher.
"Now as Henry sits in the forest he can see the new trees growing strong and tall. Sometimes everywhere is really quiet, and at other times Henry can hear leaves rustling, or a bird's wing brushing the air, often he can hear the distant sound of children laughing, and always he is happy here."
This is so emotional, when I saw the thumbnail I actually thought that Henry was dead and he had been placed around the trees of his forest. But I am glad that he was still alive and was kept in a place that he loved to be safe. Henry is my favourite T&F character because I really connect with him, so I'm glad that even the near miss with a cutters torch can't stop this magnificent engine we know as Sodor's Number 3
Same
Here’s the thing, Henry is my Favourite Character, so, personally, if he couldn’t be rebuilt, this would be a nice resting place for him, because he loves the forest, how peaceful and quiet it is
Henry has a wildly huge story and role
Me too
@Real_SoulYt "Like" you mean to start off with
One day, two very curious children had stumbled upon long forgotten tracks while headed to school. following the abandoned rails, they stumbled upon an old and rusty engine. “Oh! Hello,” He said to them. Both startled by the other. For the engine, it was very unusual for anything to find him, let alone people. “Aren’t you two a bit young to be traveling along these tracks alone? Bad things could happen you know.”
The two said nothing, just stared. “You’re a steam engine,” one spoke up. It was a young man. The old engine glanced curiously. “Yes, indeed I am.” Suddenly the young girl spoke up. “Do you have any stories?” The Engine began to laugh
“Oh yes, I have many. In fact, here’s one you may have heard. Once anyone attached to a train…”
He told the two a story of his young days, back when he was stubborn and prideful. The two children found it most enjoyable. “You must be joking, you didn’t really hide in a tunnel out of a fear of rain did you?”
“No, I did not. I was not afraid of the rain. I just didn’t want my lovely paint to be spoiled.” The three laughed and smiled.
Soon it was time for the children to leave. Before walking away, the small girl spoke up. “Excuse me sir, but what is your name?”
The old engine looked down at his buffers. It had been so long since he thought about it, he had almost forgotten. A smile once more crept onto his face as his eyes met with the child’s. “My name,” he said. “Is Henry.”
Neither of them knew it, but this would be a big moment for both of them. And would be the beginning of a fine new friendship.
Wonderful story
This is the best comment I have ever read. This is a wonderful story and I love it

I feel like this is connected to the clip about Thomas, Percy and toby.
Also the final scene of Henry's tender implies he was saved and that makes me feel good =D
Inkno
Because it is
Just vibin in the forest like an old hermit, giving words of wisdom and a listening ear to anyone who finds him.

You said more depressing then last time but this was happier because at least Henry is like, alive and smiling
I was honestly expecting like a horror but I wasn't expecting something wholesome, I love how he's smiling even though that he's resting it's just that he has hope and Henry is the guardian of the forest and one day he'll get rescued and restored.
This is the perfect end for Henry…
It kind of reminds me of Hiro’s situation…
Henry still rests in the forest as the brush and leaves flow in the breeze, children laugh and play as he watches and yet his slumber may be long, the old engine enjoys the company of his friends..
In his own forest.
If Henry had to be abandoned, this is definitely where he would want to be left
This is a great head cannon. It's beautiful too believe before he was given his new shape he sat decaying in that forest, which is why he loves it so much. Because in his eyes it gave him hope that he could still be useful
“Tragedies themselves can bring so much pain and suffering. But oftentimes, we find if we survive. We come through the fire stronger and better than ever. Just like Henry.”
ok I just had a head cannon that can make the episode henry's forest work
So henry's crew think he likes the forest because its peaceful, but the real reason is because that was the place he was hidden away and managed to live somewhat peacefully in the forest.
After Sir Topham Hatt took control of the railway and brought engines to work their, he needed a large engine to tackle express trains, and after his son found henry while on a hike in the woods, he rescued henry and had him work on sodor
I know it shows henry in his new shape in this skit, but this is only inspired by this, not direct
Watch the last train to Ffarquhar
Its part 2 of that
The answer has already been given in this video. After being saved from Scrap, and needing a place to hide him, they decided that the best place to put him was in the spot that gave him happiness, his forest
@@gfdx3214 I know, but its just my own head cannon that was inspired by this, not a theory
wilbert awdry: what interest does a steam locomotive have in scenery
ah yes Awdry. If going by that logic, then why did Thomas want to go fishing? What interest would a locomotive have in a human activity?
Get roasted awdry
I know someone who saved a engine abandoned on his property, and now owns a nice little small theme park with a track around it with that train on it and many more he is refurbishing.
Where and what's the name please.
Henry was always one of my favorites. I feel like if I saw that old faded green paint with that Black five boiler in the trees I'd instantly go take a look, and just as quickly try to save him. He may be resting in his forest...but I'd be building him a proper shed on that line.
This story didn't make cry because of the ending, but because of what my grandma told me. When she passes away she wants me to bury her in a forest because "I just want to be with nature for as long as it take to get to heaven." I don't know if I should be even be crying at this because of what my grandma sed. It just hit me in the feels. I guess i just need to enjoy my time with my grandma before that day comes. That day came to quick when my Ant Bev and Uncle Larry died. This is why Thomas will always hold a place in my heart, even if its original stuff or fan made stuff. It will always be comforting to watch.
Just seeing that Henry is okay fills me with hope. He may be rusty and alone on most days. But the fact that he is in his much loved forest, just makes me smile. One day he will steam again.
"And I'm very sorry to say that, since that day, many little children have been late for school because, in their insatiable curiosity, they have gone into the forest to hear the stories told by the old green engine."
i feel like Henry would be totally fine just being one with nature
This is why I bloody LOVE this community, we are just able to create pieces of art with talking trains
This is a gut-puncher for reasons,
1 i actually liked henery.
2 Im a nature lover
3 the ending was heartwarming,
lastly the music is charming and this should be how henery's retirement should play out
Bro u know this is good when u got the audience getting emotional and sad, I almost thought Henry was dead for a second until I watch the video. The part where Henry is talking to the two children was nice, it reminds of the islands swangsong a book related to events of sodor like this. If there are anymore videos related to this, I would definitely would want to see it, anyway cya till then and keep up the good work !
Henrys fate in swansong was waaaay sad
@@urtooslow4415 facts, man just straight up volunteered to be scrapped
This makes me nearly tear up. It’s gorgeous

NWR #2 Should be placed in a railway museum
I like how it starts so depressed, and ends on hopefull note. Great job
"there once was an engine who worked on a railway, who was afraid of the scrapping day. He got saved by his driver, rusting with iron, he was in the forest. One day. To come out again"
Fun fact
Out of all the engines henry would have been the last
Why?
He is a black 5 and the black 5 on british rail lasted till the end of steam and there are some black 5s preserved so it means
Yes ladies and gentlemen henry will be preserved, but for the others fate we wont know.
Couldve. But he isn't really much of a black 5
I like to think that all of the other engines were saved and may one day be reunited together.
Possible Fates for the Engines:
NWR No.1 was placed on Static Display at Tidmouth after being taken out of storage. Then was moved to Brendam for restoration to working order.
NWR No.2 after withdrawal in 1965 was bought privately and was the first engine to operate on the Brendam & Suddery Heritage Railway in 1971.
NWR No.3 was hidden in a forrest near Kelsthorpe Road until it was safe, now works on the GCR at Loughburrgh.
NWR No.4, 8 & 5 was scrapped shortly after withdrawal.
NWR No.6 & 7 were quietly sold to a private owner, current location is unknown but both are known to still be around.
NWR No.9 & 10 were sold to a railway museum in Scotland thanks to being rare Scottish steam survivors.
Possible theory’s
You’re wrong on some, right on others. Don’t worry though. You’ll find out soon enough.
I would say No 9 and 10 being preserved by Lord Callan himself
This really does feel like something Henry would prefer.
Spending the rest of his days in a place that he loves
this was actually so sad…it made me tear up, i’m glad he’s still alive..🥺
this is the best work you've ever done. well done.
I really want to see a whole story out of this of him getting saved and restore them going to work on the preserved lines
His fire may be out but not his spirit.
The theme that plays in this is so beautiful I actually felt like crying, you did so well 😭👍🏼
My heartstrings!
"The Island of Sodor, full of magic, and beauty, but their engine, Will never be forgotten."

I love this so much
I can't wait to see more stuff like this! 🍻❤
"Oh wow! who are you mister green engine."
"Well hello there children my name is henry, welcome to my forest, say would you like to hear some stories?"
So sorry for Henry fans...
That is so freaking sad...
i can't wait to see this movie or episode
As Bear was talking the limited, he went through a forest and was reminded of an old friend. He chuckled to himself "One day old boy.... one day i'll find you."
What I personally really love about this AU, and particularly this 'episode' of it, is that even with the grim, depressing reality that are favorite characters are out of work, and are facing the cutter's torch, they can still find happiness and peace in such dire circumstances. It both saddening and heartwarming at the same time.
Congrats on winning a steamy award for this short, it is well deserved
Wait why was this so wholesome that last scene where he’s telling the children stories I can’t like-
Imagine seeing a machine staring at you through the bushes
This is beautiful, Henry will be one of the most memorable characters in the franchise, and Henry’s forest will always be one of the most amazing and beautiful representations of not only Henry, but the entire community.
Thomas, Percy, and Toby in a warehouse: lucky
I’m tearing up after seeing this this is one of the best videos I’ve ever watched I love it
And now I can’t watch the sad story of Henry without breaking into tears
That went from heartbreaking to wholesome really quickly.
Many years had passed. Thomas and Percy, now old and wise tank engines tells the stories of his friends to the newer engines on the railway. How Henry continues to guard the forest, being a friendly old man to all the young ones and animals. Gordon, Emily, James, Edward and Toby all at a preservation museum each sharing their stories with railway enthusiasts, Duck and Oliver back with City of Turo on rail tours, and the Fat Controller's son now the head of the railway.
We need an actual movie made out of this. Like, an actual movie, produced my Warner Bros. or Paramount. Yeah, Thomas was always known as the main character (in the show at least), but this short clip gives so much more potential for a story, because this is a story ONLY Henry could be in. No other character in TTTE have a connection with the forest, but Henry does! Actually, I can't think of ANY other character, in ANY show, that has a connection with the forest! This is a story that's 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 for Henry.
imagine waking up. Hearing birds leafs and sun risings up I think Henry should be here.
I expect this to be really dark but it was quite wholesome
it was very wholesome😀
That was touching. I think that’s before Henry came to Sodor.
"After narrowly avoiding the cutter's torch, NWR #3 was hidden on a remote line while waiting for preservation."
this line proves that this takes place after he was bought by the NWR, plus he is literally in his new shape
I’d love to see a continuation of this, with Henry back on the rails!
Wow this is beautiful and having his theme in the background.
Henry fell in love with nature because he had to hide away in it for so long. You have made something truly saddening
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought this was going to be a horror video. I'm pleasantly surprised.
this is very beautiful ♥🥺😭 well done on this
that sounds like a good movie concept.
This is so sweet. I love this.
This is great
This is just amazing love it
This is so sweet.
Oh my gosh. The music is so emotional to me.
sad untill i saw his smile and kids
How does this make me cry is anyone like this
Henry forever 😢
One of the saddest but most wholesome videos I’ve seen
Dude the tone play
Nice job
I feel like Duck out of the main 11 has the least amount chance to get preserved in this AU since Panniers are not rare in the world of steam preservation unlike E2s,K2s, and J70 Trams have no other surviving member by this time. Also Gordon, Donald, and Douglas are members of classes of which there are one other survivor. Percy is a one off designs which makes him a rarity and James is experimental Mogul version of the L&YR class 28. Also Oliver has more of a chance than Duck but less of a chance than the other original 11 NWR engines.
Good point
It would be very emotional if the voice actually belonged to Bear after he rescued Henry from the cutter’s torch.
Please make a series! but only based on henry! PLEASE
That’s just emotional….
Bit of my own lore of a continuation of the story years after Henry was put here
Henry is still there being well kept by those 2 children whom are now adult railway fans his forest, and continues to watch his freinds pass by, they stop when not working and often tell him what’s been happening, and ask Henry how he’s doing, and that’s all their is roo it, hopefully dikeday sodors no 3 makes a return to steam someday soon...we hope
You gave me a idea of old shape henry being put in the forest and that’s why it’s called Henry’s Forrest
I really looks very interesting and actually if I ever seen an steam engine in the forest like Henry I try to put it back together and make him useful again everything should have a second chance
I would to an make it my safe haven when the days gone bad
I love thease little short stories you do like the Farquhar video and this on ep,ease do more about the other trains I love ur vids keep it up for a second I literally thought Henry died but after WOW
so simple
yet so good
This really hits deep.
People may think this might take place after the series ending, but my head canon is that this took place in an alternate universe where deasilization effected the nwr (obviously wouldn't effect skarloey since it would be turned into a heritage like talllyllyn) some of the engines probably would of stayed like gordon Thomas and Edward and James, but some would probably not be so lucky like Henry.
So is this and "Last Train to Ffarquhar" part of an alternate timeline where Sodor gets fully dieselized?
That was the saddrst thing I’ve ever seen, but it ended so well.
I was worried by the haunting texts, the wholesome ending is really something :>
aww he looks so happy
Now that’s what I called heartbreaking 💔
good job on the vid keep up the amazing work and have a good day
I was expecting something dark and scary because of the thumbnail,
Better than what I expected though.
Must agree
When I saw the thumbnail, I was worried. I feared that this would be another dark take on Henry's fate
from the Flying Kipper.
And, while it would be sad, I was glad to be wrong. It looked bitter sweet with an ending that
inspires hope for Henry.
If any fan content were to replicate the happy/sad tears of All At Sea or Sleeping Beauty,
it would be this one.
One day, Gordon was racing as far away from the diesels as possible. Bertram Topham Hatt had retired, giving rise for diesels to come to the island. He veered into the siding that he knew led to Henry’s Forest. He had remembered many years ago, before he was saved from being scrapped, Henry had taken Gordon, Edward and James down this line.
His soul almost jumped out of his head when he heard a familiar voice say, “Who goes there? Please don’t take me.” Gordon uttered under his breath, “Henry?” He moved forward to get a better look and surely enough, a dirty, rusty, broken but still strong Green Black 5 was standing in front of him. Henry’s eyes lit up with happiness and a single tear rolled down his eye.
“Gordon? Gordon! I’ve missed you so much, old pal! How are the others?”, said Henry. “Bill and Ben were sent back to the Port of Par, Toby’s still missing Henrietta, Clarabel was dismantled for parts, Percy was purchased by the National Railway Museum and will leave in the next few months, Mavis was scrapped and so was Stepney, and most recently, some saboteurs purposefully jammed Spencer’s safety valve, blowing up him and Thomas, who was close by. Thomas survived, though with minor burns.”, replied Gordon with tears stinging his eyes. Henry said, “Life’s been peaceful, mostly. Kids come down to listen to my stories. Occasionally, Paxton and surprisingly, Diesel 10, came down here since they felt bad.” Gordon was taken aback by this,”Can you still run?”
“No”
“Why not?”
“My tender has been detached.”
Gordon heard the horn of a diesel in the distance, “I’ll come back tomorrow with James and Edward. I’m planning to help get you out and then we can go to the mainland. Bye, Henry!”
“Bye Gordon!”, said Henry.
Unbeknownst to Henry, this was the start of another new chapter in his life.
