This is very helpful. But shouldn't the slats bow up so they lie flat when the mattress goes on top?

You are a lifesaver! We were able to build this bed and it was way less intimidating because of your easy to understand videos. Only issue we’re having now is that the bed slats pop up once the bottom portion is fully extended, so we have the lift the frame slightly to push the slats back underneath to get the bottom to close. 😅 Not sure what the fix for that is

Good work. Thanks for your efforts to help us along. As of 2021 in minute 12:50 Ikea made slight changes to the L-brackets and wooden slats. It was a bit tricky, my bad, to identify the right slats for the L-brackets.

Hi, not sure if you seen my comment on another video but do you plan on doing a video for fredde computer desk?
The wooden slats I have seem to be defective. Either the screw-holes are too small (but the stoppers that go in at the top end seem to fit) or the screws are wrong ( But I am having trouble with both 100349 - for the L shaped bracket and 100344 - for the long rail). The screws wont go in all the way, and hence the slats are not securely held in place. I have also damaged a few screw heads by applying too much force to screw them in. Anyone else faced this issue?

I called Ikea, and they wanted me to bring the defective parts back to them. That was a bit too much, so I think I used a drill to make the holes a little bigger

The two pieces you mount at 13:21 are different than the ones that came in my Flekke. What do you think I should I do about that?

@@shashikantyegnaram8842 Turns out the pieces just look very similar. I eventually got it together. If you genuinely didn't get the correct pieces in your box, you can get separate pieces at IKEA. Just tell them your problem

Is this bed good for adults with weight 180lbs?
Hi! Great assembly video! We have this bed and it is great..just wondering would it be really hard to change the side the headboard is on? May need to change the room its in but obviously don't want to have to dissemble the bed too much? Thanks!
You'll need to take apart the main frame to change the headboard, because a couple of the those first 3 pieces will go upside down for the different headboard placement
What happeneds if I don’t use the headboard?
Thanks for the video! Small problem: since today, the bed won't close. I mean that if it goes all the way out (as it always has), now the main part apparently collapsed a bit and won't let the outer part come in easily. I have to adjust it by hand each time. Do you have any idea on how to fix this?

In case you’re wondering 10 months later: no, the headboards do not need to be used.
I paid for installers. Apparently, the bottom part is not sliding out easily. It requires a considerable force to pull.
After several promises from IkEA , no one came to see or fix the issues. Its over a month now.
Can someone guide me what could be the major issue?
Do you have carpet or hard floor ? On the carpet is harder to slide but still should be not to difficult to pull out

Similar structure in both beds. Really up to you if you prefer modern design than FLEKKE if you like more classical look HEMNES than otherwise similar build on both.

But I always see you assembling/providing details in depth about bed frames and slatted bed bases when you go to the ikea store. It would be great for your channel as well if you provide in depth details about the ikea mattresses as well because they're more important than bed frames
