    Creating artificial Snow in the mountains from desalinated water is an exceptional way of 'hydrating' the region through-out the year.
    Water stored as snow, ice, is the most effective way of storage with a slow release. The Snow of Colorado is what keeps the SW USA Green and makes California the fruit and veg basket to the USA. Saudi with snow caps that melt, irrigating the entire region will not only make the entire area Green, it will make it a highly productive agricultural zone. Israel and Egypt use water and desalination to be self sufficient in many varieties of fruit, veg, and aqua-farms. Breeding, growing, harvesting fish from man-made tanks, lakes, ponds, etc are the most efficient way to produce products of same size, age, weight for the food supply chains.

    • @Triad72

      The amount of energy required to desalinate, freeze and spread that water as snow would be be so carbon intensive. They will make the environment worse for all of us, just so they can have their winter games in the desert. Insanity

      @DrMJT Před rokem +7

      @@benjaminlee6578 Do you ask the same question when London build a desalination water processing facility? Or any other cities/countries?? Salt has many industrial needs. If it was not needed we would not be mining it from Under the MedSea...

    • @DrMJT
      @DrMJT Před rokem

      @@Triad72 OIL/GAS in abundance... as well as Solar! Energy is a NON-issue and definitely not a problem in the Middle West / Middle East.
      Once a sufficient amount of water has been turned to snow and ice, the spring and summer run off from the mountains will turn the entire region into a lush green 'fruit and veg' bread basket. Once this level has been reached, it will become a self sustaining cycle of evapotranspiration water cycle.
      BTW, fyi: we past the global warming tipping point in the 1970s. The waters are going to Rise. Large sized projects will be required to reduce the sea level rising:
      Atmospheric Scrubbers, Desalination to make usable potable water, filling the below sea level parts of the world (Death Valley, Dead Sea, Red Sea, Africa Rift Valley, Caspian and Arial Seas, and Tarim basin... even as far as filling the Rocky Mountain trench with potable water. The greater the amount we can turn to Ice, is the less of a degree of sea level rising.
      Energy, energy, energy... that is very Yank-ese Speak. Solar panels in just a small part of Sahara or Saudi Arabia could produce multiple times more power than is currently used by the entire Human Population... even with 50 to 100 billion humans living a Eur-Asian standard of living.

    • @moshunit96
      @moshunit96 Před rokem +11

    I actualy see the vision of Saudi arabia to do so. Most car companies started switching to Electric motors means fuel will be less demanded in the future. And this is actualy a good idea and a bad idea at the same time. The effect of the event will be crwating a good image to the countru but eill damage the enviroment and will deffinetly cost way too much that its prolly not worth it to do so. Thats due to the others mega project they're doing at the moment example the Line. The Line is a great concept for the future for less space and more efficient on all other aspect but they should've hold on it if they have this mega project rn. I guess they come from different people different companies which make sense but imagine if all of them work together and out a focus on a single mega project and make it work which is this mega project.
    Then saudi arabia could've been the country of sports event, convention, imagine if they made a electric motor companies and dominate too. But it wont happen sadly

Europe has better public entities like streets, trains, social care etc. But this makes that Europe has a tax rate from around 40 % where USA has only 20 % tax rate. The USA is more avangardistic and creative. Look what Hollywood, Elon Musk and all famous US world brands do. Europe is an boring retirement house compared to USA.
