- All of the Ford Falcon XR8's appearances in the Gran Turismo series. This is a Ford AU car, that very rare occasion of seeing an Australian in Gran Turismo.
Like many other cars we've covered, I know the Ford Falcon XR8 better as an opponent, especially in Gran Turismo 3. I always thought it looked funny when I was a kid - not in a bad way! It just looked bigger than all the other cars, especially with its spoiler.
But as Sunday uploads go, we take a trip down memory lane with this old favourite. Since it raced the Castrol Supra '00 in GT3, pretty Segway!
...And yes, I am not good at racing on Mount Panorama. But an Australian car and an Australian track...I had to.
Any car from Gran Turismo 3 is automatically my favourite! Even though I didn't use this car in GT3, I liked racing against it! That collection of S-Class cars the Falcon raced against were such a mixed bag, but they worked really well together.
Falcon XR8 despite constantly beaten against XJ220 LM and Corvette C5R in a race its still beloved by many.
The 2000 FALCON XR8 V8 SUPERCAR in GT4 to 6 are so iconic yet underrated.
What a car 👏👏👏👍🔥💪🏁
This car needs to return to GT7 because we have Mt Panorama!
Definitely 😊🎉
@@BuggaBoo2shame that Bathurst, Brands Hatch and Silverstone only appeared in GT6 alone.😢
@@purwantiallan5089Brands Hatch is in both GT Sport and GT7
The Falcon XR8 V8 Supercar looks underrated.
It’s Australian, ofc it’s underrated. 😊
The GT4 sound for the Falcon XR8 is exactly how every V8 Supercar sounded.
This was one of my favourite cars in GT3 but sadly I didn't drive it a lot because it's the only V8 SUPER CAR in the whole game and driving it against JGTC cars feels so weird, they should have at least added one more V8 SUPER CAR like a holden or another Ford or something.
The Amateur World Championship and All Star events aren't strictly JGTC, just need a DTM on the grid too
@@R9R1 You misunderstood what I said, I know that it's allowed to race almost everywhere but I meant that I didn't enjoy driving it because it feels so weird to drive a V8 SUPERCAR against JGTC cars and some DTMs,
I didn't misunderstand you. They're comparable in class, the game is all about diverse grids, and you're going to let niche licencing stop you from using a car that we're lucky to even get in the first place?
@@BYardleyOfficialthe 2000 Falcon XR8 in GT5 ALL STAR Event also mixed up against Mia Taylor's Bentley Speed 8, Shioriko Mifune's 787B, Ayumu Uehara's Sauber C9 and Dia Kurosawa's 2009 Audi R8 LMS LMGT3.
@@R9R1 I know that GT3 was a very rushed game and they had to add as much cars from different classes as they could in a short limited time, that's why they couldn't add more V8 SUPER CARS beside the falcon, and again I drove the car and I loved it a lot, but it just felt weird to drive it against JGTC cars, just like how in GT4 we see the Chaparral 2J racing against a Nissan R390 it feels so weird to see a CAN AM car racing against a GT1 car, again it doesn't affect the gameplay whatsoever, but it feels so weird, to have a mixed grid of random race cars just because they have the same performance.
Spotto from australia would be proud
Shu Uchida also a big fan of this 2000 Ford Falcon XR8 V8 SUPERCAR.
If you ever get around to it, the Mazda RX-8 LM is another one of those cars that had its engine sound changed during GT5's life cycle (like the Mercedes CLK-LM). The one that you or custom race opponents drive sounds like the Nissan GT-R Concept LM. However, if you hear the RX-8 LM in the Dream Car Championship it has a MUCH different, much quieter engine sound. Dont know if there is a way to replicate that in your own RX-8 via mods or something
Well there is a way in doing so.
Ford Falcon looks like a Nascar car
No it doesn’t
GT4 sounded almost look like V8 flat plane engine
Or more like a car from TOCA RACE DRIVER 3.
Sounded cool asf in GT3 and unique like the Lister Storm or Esperante. But after GT3 is sounded fat and dopey lol
Again, GT3 having the worst sound.
