- All of the Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II's appearances in the Gran Turismo series. Polyphony interestingly changed this car in GT7 a little, the front being a bit different and somewhat closer to the Test version.
If you played Gran Turismo 4 then this car will be very nostalgic to you.
I wish Polyphony would bring back older fictional race cars, but so far we haven't saw any after the Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II. But its still a great car, and I am glad to see it back in all its glory!
Call it nostalgia, but the GT4 engine sound will always be my favourite! I loved this car especially in GT4! For many this is the poster car for GT4. I have more memories racing against it than I do racing with it in GT4...mainly because as a kid I didn't have the patience to sit through the long Gran Turismo World Championship, nor the skills to win it.
But all in all, I'm so glad it returned to GT7!
GT4 sounds the worse for me. Don't get me wrong, GT4 made my childhood like most Gran Turismo fans here, but they were pretty bad on car sounding specially the racing ones. I don't know any engine who can sound like this car sounded like in GT4; In GT PSP sounded like an inline 4; GT5 and 6 started to sound like a V8, but more of an old school 1960's big block, not like a modern SC V8. Only in GT7 they got it right
As much as I played the hell out of Gran Turismo 4, that is one of the worst sounds in the game (not helped by the fact its on so many cars). Was not a pleasant experience to listen to, which made it an all to easy choice when it came to endurance races (Spoiler alert: None of them were attempted with this car).
GT Sport and 7 nailed 97.75 percent of the car sounds,@@igortchelzoff3736
@@RACECARwell thats very unexpected indeed.
The GOAT cover car, raced it at least once in every GT game including the Nurburgring 24 hours in GT4
I also used that iconic 2004 Ford GT LM SPEC II on Gran Turismo 5 24hrs of Nurburgring. I enjoyed also racing against Yuu Takasaki's Audi R10 TDI on that car!
The legendary cover star car in Gran Turismo 4 still has an epic engine sound on Gran Turismo 7.
Sound got much better as the series went on, but never actually sounded good until GT7. I played GT3 then skipped to GT5 so I never got the nostalgia for this car, but its still one of my favourite Gr.3 cars.
Agree. In I don''t think any engine sounds like what this car sounds in GT4. in GT PSP sounds more like an inline 4. In GT5 and 6 started to sound like an actual V8, but more os an 1960's big block, not like a modern SC V8 one. In GT7 they got it right
Esperante GTR 1 and Ford GT LM SPEC II 2004 on GT5 and 6 shared the exact same engine notes.
Reason why this car slightly changed for GT7 is that unlike its previous appearances where it was based on the Ford GT Concept from 2002 (Much like the Spec 1 from GT Concept), the car is now based on the production model like its test car sibling (which thematically makes more sense as its more up-to-date and the link between the two as well as the consistency is much stronger).
On GT7, the 2004 Ford GT LM Spec II and 2006 Ford GT LM SPEC II TEST CAR now based on 2006 Ford GT Model.
Roflwaffle uploads a video about iconic cars in the GT series.
An hour later Sol uploads a video showcasing one of those iconic cars throughout all the games…coincidence? I think not!
But I like the Ford GT LM Spec II as well! Pity about the GT5/6 engine sound. Glad GT7 made it sound better!
I think GT5 and 6 sounds on Ford GT LM SPEC II are actually epic.
Looks like you’ve got good taste in the GT4 engine sound for this car, and it does give me that nostalgia factor too since you use in one of driving missions before winning it yourself
Yep. On 3 Lap Battle Race at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca. In it, the player raced against Chevy C5-R, #91 Viper GTS-R Team Oreca from Rurino Osawa, Viper GTS-R Concept 2000 and 2002 Saleen S7.
Kazunori Yamauchi has a Ford Gt in real life, he also has a Honda S2000, and a Nissan Gtr
So you also just watched Rolfwaffle?
Infact he had 2

@@BYardleyOfficialCoco Hayashi also has 2006 Ford GT and 2004 FORD GT LM SPEC II in her real life garage as well. She is a big fan of those Ford cars.
yes,,, the models look better
but at what cost
GT7 is hanging on a rope that can step at any time
2024/05/30 is one of those time if more things get broken by updates
no joke
Well the models in GT4 to 6 for that car are equally impressive.
As always, it sounds horrible in Gran Turismo 5&6
Better as in GT7 in my opinion 😢
GT4 sounds the worse for me. Don't get me wrong, GT4 made my childhood like most Gran Turismo fans here, but they were pretty bad on car sounding specially the racing ones. I don't know any engine who can sound like this car sounded like in GT4; In GT PSP sounded like an inline 4; GT5 and 6 started to sound like a V8, but more of an 1960's big block, not like a modern SC V8. Why its sounded awful on GT5?
