I sang it to my wife one night, and the chorus spontaneously came out as "I know, you know, we know / we were made for each other and it's right. I know, you know, we know / we belong to each other and it's life.," :) It's such a loving song, the lyrics could just as easily be after a marital or relationship fight, making up at the end. It makes me think of this because if you do have a big fight with your partner, it feels emotionally like the end of the world.

Thank you for these alternatives. I do this too but was so wrapped up in the beauty of the song, the voices, the lyrics, the hearts involved that it ‘took me’ to a time that is past. The world was ending. They are forever in my heart and a part of my eternal soul. And it’s ok that we’re not together in the physically separate sense. The intention was to love each other and carry our love in everything we did from then on with whoever we were with in all environments in all time.
