I tried the juice and oh god, it taste soo good! I can't stop drinking it, everytime i go to the grocery store the first thing in my head is that fruit
The imported ones and locally grown ones in the US are nowhere near as good as the ones in SE Asia, IME. The ones there are *unbelievably* better.
the pink ones are always superior, much much more sweeter
@@insomaniac1796 Agreed. The pink fleshed ones I had in Indonesia were freaking delicious
Don't get me started on europe. Kinda hard to find a more tasteless fruit here
That’s because you have not tried the ones in Costa Rica but the way is where this plant is native. Mexico and Central America part of South America
I like mangoes the same way, the ones in India are much better than the Mexican ones
I love dragon fruit and do prefer the yellow one because it’s a lot sweeter and it’s also great for those who are consitpated. Works better than eating an apple
These would taste so much better if they weren't picked off the plant so early. When you let them ripen properly, they're amazing. The ones imported to the US are picked way too early and they'll rot when off the plant before they actually ripen.
I personally just cut it in half and scoop out peices as if it were a bowl.
Same
saame
Same
That's how I would do it if I had it but I don't think it's available in Michigan.
I like to peel it first but i will try that method out one day
Lisa: "it tatse like a sweet pear"
Me: "aren't pears already sweet"
Some are pretty sour to me. Like the green pears 🍐 are usually pretty sour to me and then the Asian pears or the round yellow ones are usually so sweet so I assume she’s referencing the round yellow Asian pears.
@@stick6261 Well I’ve tried green pears and when they aren’t ripe they are bitter and hard to chew but when they are softer they are sweet and juicy.
Oh hey Agatha
@@fatimas3915 hey loki like the nails💅🏾
@@agathaharkness399 thanks, that Peter kid convinced me to
Those look so good. Kind remind me of prickly pears. I live tunas and I want to try dragon fruit soon.
Bro, that's a devil fruit right there
“Dragon fruit is delicious!” this is a statement I’ve never heard from anyone who has eaten dragon fruit
Eh, that’s mostly because people usually only eat white dragon fruit, since it’s the most common. Red dragon fruit is super sweet and delicious.
I’ve gotten it twice and had a bite and thrown the rest away, it’s so awful
I hav eaten the red ones (not this white one) multiples times and its soo good. Its juicy n very sweet. You can gulp down a single fruit easily.
@@nobodynowhere000 yeah but the one with the yellow color outside is the sweetest most juiciest one 🤤
Its rather bland to me
I don’t really like white dragon fruit but you should try yellow and pink dragon fruit it is sweeter
theressss a yellloowwwww one???
@@iSynxTV yea there’s yellow white and pink I like yellow
@@Danny-fz8ef thank you! I'll have to try them and see if I like them more than the white ones.
We have Dragon fruits in our backyard,, and our garden it is pink but the Dragon fruits in our garden don't really like to produce that much fruits, thankfully our Dragon in backyard still produce a lot...
I just got my first one today and it is amazzzzzzing
It’s so good! By the way you should try it with honey trust me!
"do you have to remove the seeds?" *spends a whole day trying to take out the seeds* ... *dragon fruit rottens...*
They look crazy and exotic, but the taste is really tame, don't expect it to taste like a fruit smoothie or margarita fruit flavor explosion, its is just one fruit and tastes like one fruit like a pear only tastes like a pear
I have tried dragon fruit before and is ABSOLUTELY delicious! It's like citrus fruit and grapes had a baby LOL, taste wise. Every time I hear the word, I think it's some kinda video game item too. I can't help it.😅🤣
Dragon fruit is my favorite fruit, the sweeter part is more in the middle of the fruit.
My whole family doesn’t really like Dragon Fruit (we’ve had it about twice), but I love it. The only thing is, I would be the kinky one to eat it, they are pretty expensive, and it’s not a “normal” fruit that a lot of stores sell. I will definitely eat it a lot more when I’m older.
Here in europe they are rather hard to come buy. Haven't seen one yet
It's just $1 here
*also I meant “only” not “kinky” in my message*
@@afox5319 yea I get that, maybe you can find some one day! It is very good, it almost tastes like water with a bit of sweetness added.
Kinky 😳
Lisa: they taste delicious
Me trying it: tastes like water🤷
probably depends on the quality or where you got it from ? I had a dragon fruit one time and it was really delicious, sweet with a subtle but noticeable flavor. They’re really expensive here though :(
For me it was sour
Lol
@@theperson5205 ya, maybe, but it true that they r expensive 🌝
@@star_studios4995 ohh, atleast it had some taste:-)
Had the option to try these at Rosh Hashanah dinner but I went for the star fruit instead. Guy across from me liked it though!
"Do you remove the seeds"
Well if your waiting for the world to be consumed by a black hole than yeah
Throwback to the time my classmate brought dragonfruit to school. He asked his friend if he wanted to try it. The friend was allergic to dragondruit and threw up in the middle of their algebra glass
Edit: Y’all it’s fine. They both laugh about it, and it’s not a severe allergy. (He doesn’t need an epipen for it.)
oh my god
Oh no
Say is it glass or class?
I hate that the only memory I have of dragon fruits are the bland versions. It's like bland strawberries from supermarkets (or whatever type of fruit you've eaten from the supermarket that taste so much more different than from a local farm or Sunday market)
I purchased one a couple of months ago n it tasted like air. I was so disappointed.
Wow. Where I live their delicious even from the supermarket.
My first time trying one after seeing so many videos of people trying it and loving it, I got a bland one. Let’s just say, I did not like it.
Indonesia has good dragon fruits imo
No these really do taste bland
“When I went to Vietnam” they are native to Mexico and Central America. You can get them in any USA or Asian store. A lot of countries cultivate them. People act like they are so rare. Just have to go to the store during the right season.
I love the yellow ones they're so good
They are also referred to as “Dragon eggs for the reason that, if you peel off the skin and don’t make any cuts on the top or bottom the inside product resembles and egg. I love to eat it that way, it’s like eating a soft apple without skin. Very delicious, and with little flavor it’s not high an sugar. Love it ^^
You forgot the second quotation mark.
Lisa: "they're really delicious"
Me, who had dragonfruit before and thinks it tastes like absolutely nothing but water and a small bit of sweetness: *is there something wrong with my tastebuds or-*
No lol, you are right. They have no flavor. They are so pretty to look at but they have no flavor unfortunately
@@wednesdayaddams7066 like humans
@@RickSanchez-of4om i don't know, I don't eat humans
the red ones are rly sweet sometimes tho, theyre better than white ones imo
@@muffin8058 I've had both, they taste the same to me :(
I love dragon fruit too especially the pink ones
there is 2 types of dragon fruit, 1 inside it is purple ish - red ish and 1 is white like that.
I think dragonfruit is a little underwhelming taste-wise, but it's still pretty good. I think it would be good in a smoothie.
100% but if youre lazy just toss it in the fridge to let it cool, cut it half throw some sugar on top, and stab the sugar into the fruit with a fork.. then its pretty bomb .
For me EVERYDAY MY MOM GIVES ME TO EAT 😭😭but it's good😉
For me EVERY HOUR MY MOM GIVES ME TO EAT 😭😭but it’s good😉
It’s delicious in a smoothie. So sweet. No sweetener needed lol
I love pitaya!!! My local smiths has them and I never hesitate to get a couple
I love the way she says veitnam reminds me of forrest gump
LOVE Dragon fruit!! Taste like a kiwi kinda, just juicier!!
