I just love watching the facial expressions of the deer as they enjoy the food. Pure bliss ! They certainly don't mind being filmed while they chow down ! Always thoroughly enjoy coming to your animal paradise. Such a great place to "sit a spell" and be in such good company !
Thank you, Marilyn! It's almost too easy to sit all day and contemplate the yard work needs to be done, but I managed to mow. While riding around spraying chopped up weeds and grass from the mower, one of the deer came out to clean up the snack area completely ignoring the noisy lawn tractor.🤪🤣❤
Not long after these girls were here one of the doe that was pregnant came around no longer pregnant! It should only be a matter of time before a little spotted fawn is spotted here! 😁♥️
They are so beautiful. Do you ever see any predators, coyotes, fox, wolves ever chasing the deer or turkeys? They sure seem to be at ease in your yard.❤
I've seen a coyote following the deer in broad daylight until I chased it away and a couple bobcats wandering around. I've also heard neighbors say they've seen a cougar but I don't know for sure, other than that there aren't many other predators around that I know of.
Beautiful one Derek! Your property looks so peaceful and quiet. Is it as quiet as it seems? I have to deal with so much motorcycle noise coming from the road that goes around the lake. It’s ridiculous. Every video requires careful sound editing to take it all out. Takes a lot of time. Yesterday I had an amazing visit by all the local bucks, several of which I had not met before. Between the wind and the motorcycle acceleration noises, I had to replace most of the audio. It used to be so much quieter around here. It’s becoming intolerable. Will post that video hopefully tonight when I finish the edit. Some amazingly beautiful bucks!
It's usually as peaceful as it looks. Most noise is only on the weekends when people are doing yard work or target shooting. I did my mowing shortly after this encounter while one of the doe cleaned up the snack area, ignoring the noisy mower for about an hour. We are about a half-mile from any paved roads so traffic noise is very minimal. The noisiest things around here are the crazy turkeys! I haven't seen any buck for awhile, maybe a month since the last time, not even little Nick who may have been chased off by the expecting mothers.
