Brussels city is very multi cultural compared to other cities in Belgium. Lot of expats, immigrants live and work there as it is head quarters of the European commission also NATO. Just like all European cities, lot of illegal immigrants from African countries, even from South American countries, and Asia.
Brussels center is more French speaking than Dutch speaking people. The city where I live we speak only Dutch here though they speak French and English if necessary. When you take train from Airport to Brussels...it is always better to go out at Brussels central station, not the North station ( where you go out). Enjoy your days in Brussels. There is very good night life in Brussels center, especially in weekends. Lot of dancings, clubs, cafés, pubs, all crowded with people. Many night shops are open till beyond midnight. Supermarkets close at 7 to 8 pm.

Happened with me too. Was travelling from Delhi to Nuremberg via Zurich. The Zurich to Nuremberg flight was cancelled so I was offered Zurich to Dusseldorf and Dusseldorf to Nuremberg. It was a nightmare. The travel time increased from 1 to 12 hour and the cherry on the top was, the luggages were delivered 5 days after.😢😢😢
