I heard your comment about the alexa feature of the Ghana house. You know in smart home installation, the alexa, tuya, google assistant etc, are the voice function of a whole installation, you would have another control from your mobile device too. Lastly, you can always have an offline installation if you were bothered about hacking

Yes, most homes come furnished. Most people on the continent (Accra & Abuja) also pay cash for their homes, so you own the house by the time you move in. People pay cash for their homes because mortgages are ridiculously high at 15% or higher rates so most residence opt for cash. Lol so no one is kicking you out of your house. Not even Alexa 😂

No, power goes out anytime the gods of power wills it and comes on whenever they want it to. In some cases you can decipher a method to their madness and a pattern develops and thus you adjust accordingly. It is not uncommon for homes and businesses to run entirely on their own power supply. This adds tremendously to the operating cost.

People don't really rely on power supply from NEPA, they make arrangements for their own. Where I am now, it's constant because I'm in an estate where tenants club together to buy fuel and also the house I'm in has an inverter. Most of my friends have inverters so, technically they have 24hrs light and its a seamless switchover. I've spent time in Ghana a while ago and they also have "light off" just not as often as the average place in Nigeria. They do have it though. I've never gone 10 days without power supply in Abuja and I've been here for close to 2 years and have visited before moving here, about 10 times.
