Hands down one of the greatest songs ever
True that!
Ever!!!
If ur off ur head like
Definitely one of my favourites of all time
Very much agree
the bass line in this fucking drives the whole thing...the bottom is badass
It's Collin Hegna on the bass
Right on
If I ever heard this song live I think I would pass away
heard it live last night and felt the same
You've just heard it.
@@khalilrazak6486 he means in person…
No 😅
It’s crazy how good a song can be with only 2 chords.
To be fair they do use A7 and E7 i believe, but I take your point!
@@samhill487 maybe a cheeky G in the transition from E to A as well... so good
@@harrytalay301 Thanks man!!! No-one should underestimate BJM ;)
Or how talentless a band can be by that same measure😂😂😂😂
@@stevelacy137 talent to make such a banger
One of the greatest American bands ever
Highly underrated!
Anton did everything to not get signed by the big industry back then, while at the same time he wanted his band to be big on their own.
- Now I can see why. Just look at the music industry today. Mostly, dumbed down crap.
Just stumbled across this band . Brilliant !
Watched clips of their set on telly They just blew me away! So freakin good. Insanely catchy riffs Just love love love the trippy vibes and their attitude.
Bourdain brought me here. RIP
so easy to play this song still it has an amazing vibe
These guys are just naturally cool.
Thank you Tony. RIP to greatest human ever to walk the face of this world and write about it.
So underappreciated imo .
This is not a good song. This is a great song. I can listen to it for an hour at a time on a reel to reel.
This should have 1000000000000000 views
Best concert sound ever.
I want more footage of their set that they did in glastonbury , brian jonestown massacre the best as always !
best god dam band i ever seen, tell u that
Forget Bass Face, it's all about that Tambourine Face.
Joels the bizness..did you ever see him do a Cameo on the Gilmore Girls ? :)
68majortom oh man oh man did i ever! It was the best surprise. And then they reenacted the viper room scene from Dig! I was in heaven.
charlotte harrison yeah I was surprised too.. what a star!!! #JoelGion
Thank you Anton and crew vocal filters and etc
1
Love these guys and the anarchy that comes with them.
His wife singing this in Norway is the best version of this track.
what makes it better is that basically no one was sober either lmao
Love this song.
Good version, nice to see Matt
They sound stellar.
Love the set up Anton extreme stage left Joel tamborine centre
Fantastic band
Why would anyone dislike this?
They're probably coming down atm, or have shitty taste in music. Dunno
Dyslexia
Because it's too good
love it!
Missing Miranda Lee Richards’s haunting vocals but still a crazy good performance
pure class
Isso, sim, é música!
Beautiful to watch
Great technique from Joel there.
@lally B he does really magical hand stuff.. Lol
Just plain old Fucking Great, classic music! Pure GenX, so I',m bias'd....
Beautiful 👌
the greatest.
Awesome!
fuckin bass line at 4:16 is epic
On point isn't it!
fpopee nice pick up!
Yeah. Colin is so amazing.
Is that Matt Hollywood on guitar? Would be epic if it were.
He is. He has been in the band for some time as you can see in the documentary "DIG"
I was wondering that too. Thought he was long gone by then.
Trickdicky
BJM's 'wall of sound' - amazing - how about the Pyramid stage next time Anton? As a Dandys fan I came to you via the DIG documentary - I'm now hooked...........
The most 60s track to release this century
Anemone es de 1996
Um cara que me envolvi me fez conhecer essa musica, sou viciada nela e é impossível não lembrar dele kkkkkk ❤
the studio version of this song is nothing compared to the live ones.
nah studio is good too
that's ok. let me share a secret: the 4trk version was 20 times better than the studio. see, i was fighting the world, including the people with studios. i wasn't even supposed to be recording the song at all... i was in the studio under the pretext that i was finishing methodrone as the people paying for that process took over the album. i didn't want that, so i kept writing new stuff, pressing record... it's not mixed, it's as is, i played the drums in the control booth. bottom line zero fucks given. i own all the rights. it pays the electric bills. one days work.
@@antonfjordson as it should be BJM to jupiter n back
Gorgeous
Coolest song of all time 🎸
Be ready for a flood of views from Anthony Bourdain fans. For me, he proves again he was right. This song is fantastic, and the fact of how I got here only makes it more so.
Missing Will Carruthers massive bass sound. Check out live version from 2009
Great song
so good.
Anton: new book that did a bunch of research in the Icelanddic Library.. I';m ordering it, SOON! It's called Icelandic Magic.. full of Atlantian magic/ lore..Cheers!
Great live version. But who shot and edited this video? The work experience kid?
Amazing
You should be picking me up instead you're dragging me down 🔥🔥🔥
Anton y su banda de forajidos son eternos !
Hey ! Mister Tambourine Man ! These guys Roll a heavy Rock ( them and SpaceMan3 )
Exceptional
Anthony Bourdain brought me here
How?
Elisa Adcock me too
I found it: www.rollingstone.com/movies/news/my-favorite-songs-anthony-bourdain-20140411
they should have been there 15 years earlier but better late than never
druggiest song of awesome ever. damn they're playing tight. Pros.
Suspect middle age, and the right Meds help.
Drugs have nothing to do with good music.
Bait
TubobRainbowUnicorn They were playing tight Anton would bash a sitar over their head
Great ❤🎉❤
dear God I hope Anton they tour East Coast US again.
Whoever directed this must have been as high as the band.
Right. Out of focus shite
Where's the rest?
Earth: Thank You
God: You're Welcome
i love the bjm!!!
Cool Vibes.............Brill
Matt Hollywood looks like John Lennon at this show.
He somehow manages to look like John Lennon and Brian Wilson at the same time.
A fat Lennon.
better than the Dandy Warhols
deathfromabove77 - NO, not better. Just ask Anton Nuke'm Himself.. If u don't fucking believe me.. He thinks Courntney Taylor is better songwriter than 99.9999% than the rest of us on the planet, that's a FACT..
They're both good
Could be a b-side by The Cure!
DIG
Obviously
Cannot stop thinking of oasis fromthe chords
greatest band.
So wonderfully American. Perfect.
Omg yes
BJM's music has longevity, the Dandies' was ephemeral...
Whatch "DIG"!
❤❤
I bet they all wish it was 1994 again...
why would they?
💗
What a beautiful 12 sting electric that is.
@2:45 triple denim.
Heroin brought me here
Anybody know where to find the full set?
BBC iPlayer
***** Any option for those not in the UK?
Some sort of dodgy site im afraid
For the full set go to the BBC at Glastonbury website. The full set is on there until July 26th. Just put in "Glastonbury" and it will come up.
watch?v=vx2rI0maXmk
Very trippy....paper eatin' music
Still genius x
wheres the blonde chick?????
That tambourine player not a lot of enthusiasm this time around. Needs a couple more bumps, to feel it😀
Che band della Madonna!
that is IT?!??!? all the hype ive heard of the band and THAT is it? THAT is IT!??
Anemone no?
Did they actually work out their differences or did they just make it through the set then start fighting again?
Kook with the native headdress has never heard of this band.
👍✌️
I play this in the transition area of Triathlons,.
It’s peach perfect for getting your head together for the task ahead.
RAHIMAHULLAH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Intense shit!!
Can anyone recommend similar sounding songs? X
Check out their drummer Joel Gions solo record Apple Bonkers, it's so good. Also the dandy warhols have a similar lo fi garage rock sound.
+Rhys Acker Try some spacemen3, ,Spiritualized, Jesus and the mary chain or even some 13th floor elevators.
Sonic Youth, Diamond Sea and My Bloody Valentine, Only Shallow
quoe1 - Thanks for the Tip..But the Dandies are not low fi sound..Their records seem well recorded..and it's even better Up-sampled, and thru a decent vacuum tube stereo..Why miss out on the micro-details..I recall Anton saying " you have'nt heard our new record until u've heard it on LP..which is pretty much the same idea..cheers
the 2 first albums of Allah-Las
Primal scream vibes
Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Is that Lenon on Gibson? Aaa
i was thinking the same thing lmao. That guy must be in a Beatles tribute band on the side
One of the rare bands whose sound is better at Glastonbury than at many of their gigs. They play so many gigs the mix can be a bit pot-luck.
Ripped off from How Soon is Now
making elegant scruff a sort of virtue.......sonic porn with a part time heart.
