Being a huge free jazz fan I really enjoyed this one Joe. Thanks for sharing not only one but two Peter Brotzmann albums. Another jazz artist that was foreign to me until the start of the VC. Out of the ones that you showed would one would you say to listen to first? Wow. That Saxophone Special looks killer. That is a must check out. Like now. >< Outstanding update. Huge congrats on the Evan Parker grail. Amazing cover shot. Writing it down on my never ending VC related want list notebook. Thanks J~ Rob/Boston
Thanks Rob! I would Nipples is a great one but it is very intense! The Noah Howard is also a great one to start with because it’s not very free and is more post bop-modal with moments of free jazz
Holy crap Joe, those are some really heavy records!! Topography Of The Lungs and Saxophone Special are two of my all time favorites. You're pretty much the only one in the VC flying the FMP flag, always look forward to the videos.
@@analog_archive it's my favorite label, unmatched for depth and quality. Lately I've been going back through their cd catalogue to find nuggets that I missed when they were first released. Records are my favorite but I'll take this music in any format I can get it.
Great episode. Yes to a flip through of lps you'd like to sell.
