Another difference in the doors; the two wheel drive doors used a piece of card cardboard with a lip holding it. The Power Wagon had a flat steel plate. Mine were two wheel drive doors somebody put on a long time ago. I ground off the lip and voila! A Power wagon door!
Also a difference between the early pws and 1950; early trucks had a 35 amp generator and ammeter. 1950 they changed to 50 amp generator and ammeter. I used my ammeter with a 12v alternator just by swapping the connections on the back.

Very nice video! I had the pleasure of talking with Clint at the '94-'97 rallies in Fairfield, and he was a wealth of information back then. I'm so glad to see that he is still around and has the same pw!

I do remember something about the doors on our power wagon for one the day it hit the road it was fine a few weeks later the drivers side window kept falling down so my dad presented some argument the door would have to be welded and it wasn't worth the effort because he wanted doors with the wing windows. Somewhere over in New Jersey he got doors for it. I was back in school when some of the later more serious modifications on that truck took place. I also remember how hard it was back in the 70s to get certain things like my dad wanted half inch thick steel rod to make hood support for it and he must have called places a week straight to get that steel rod he wanted to make the hood support out of. Another argument as far as I know of was the split rim wheels it had on it. They used to call em Widow Makers. My dad was dead set against changing split wheels inside the shop. Out back he and my grand father had originally built a cage to change those types of wheels.... Alotta trucks used split wheels well into the 1980s but they started selling solid wheels even back about that mid 70s era U could go to Lehigh Tire in Allentown and order solid rims. My dad really carried on about what it cost for the new wheels and tires on that truck. A few times he called the guy at Lehigh Tire a crook... I don't remember a truck that could pull sheet like that Power Wagon could. The only thing that even comes close is my Duallie with the 454 in it. Now that truck will pull a house over too. last week I pulled 6 tons of firewood home with it. No problemo.
