I know this is an older video. However for what it’s worth I had a similar problem with my 2014 ranger 800 . What I found was the split shafts are too short not allowing the splines to fully engage. I fixed my issues by cutting a new shaft ( the lower one) in two then welding a sleeve thereby extending the length and allowing the lower splines to fully engage the rack and pinion also allowing the upper splines to do the same where they engage the power steering unit . I have never had any issues with the steering since. This is only one of my gripes with the Polaris . The steering was not well thought out and or a victim of planned obsolescence by the manufacturer. There are others such as no zirk fittings on the ujoints ( replaced all with u joint with zirks) ANY way nice video just wish I had seen yours before I spent the time figuring this out

4:05 Very interesting...I did just over 8 years in the USCG(2002-2010), and I don't recall ever using a HF distress band, we certainly didn't monitor that channel at the 3 small boat SAR untis I was stationed at. Maybe that's why nobody responded lol.

Question. Will this solve cold air blowing on driver side and warmer air blowing on the passengers side?

Is there supposed to be a ball bearing some where, when I took mine apart there was a ball where the motor attaches to the hydro booster, where the oil flows on the oval plastic gaskets

OMG! My husband had had a new belt installed, new spring . . . nothing would work but for him to one-arm that tiller through the garden while holding down that PTO clutch lever!!! Aimless, don't know if you'll get this three years out, but your video here saved my hinder end. Left my '78 horse sitting for 20 years after the garden didn't need tilling any more and gravity took its toll. These two problems and more to solve, but your instructions were key to success. Thanks!

Another great video Kevin, love the trick where you take a small bit of the grating off to remove the blend door, last time I helped my pop fix his, he pulled the entire dash off. Not lookin to do that to my truck. 😅

You have A lot of acquired skills and knowledge, so you could consider showing "more inclusive" video's because if you omit any steps in the process of taking things apart or assembling them, then people with little or no related expertise may not be able to do the job you were aiming to teach them correctly, so don't be shy about make your videos longer while ensuring you show and explain every step of a given task clearly.
