Tim talks about taking on the role of James Dutton and working with Faith - including filming one scene where she slaps him! He also opens up about how he drew on his own experiences as a father to three girls. ‘1883’ premieres December 19 on Paramount+.

The writing for this series was extraordinary - Tim McGraw and Faith Hill truly brought the characters to life, but Tim's interactions with Isabel May were outstanding - one of the finest series in a long time, only sad there wasn't one more season to wrap up how the ranch was established
I have never been so impressed when I saw him and Faith act side by side it was amazing.
This was the most epic production I’ve seen since “Roots.” Taylor Sheridan is a living genius of a writer and a show-runner. I loved this series.

I'm rewatching 1883... Tom Hanks is a big crush of mine and I didn't see it!!! Until I read about it I had no clue...I guess I didn't look closely.... it's nice that both families are close. ♥️♥️

I like Tim and Faith. Very convincing rolls and it is true acting. Taylor brings the best out of his actors and actresses. I can't wait for the four sixes series to start. To have potential three series that grabs the viewers, I don't think, I know there have never been three series that are tied together like what Taylor has done. The great cast is the best ever that came together to produce such outstanding realism.

I love 1883. Even better than Yellowstone. Not as much foul (bad) language. But also love the storyline. Especially after the 4th season of Yellowstone. To much hype as I streamed the first 3 seasons.
Me too. I don't like Yellowstone because the characters are too extreme, and the violence is gratuitous. But the context of 1883 makes the violence understandable considering it was the wild west and the characters are facing life and death issues every day. This is a great series.

Am I watching on the wrong station? I am watching paramount + season 1 is all I have been able to watch so far. I have seen all of Yellowstone, but only season 1 of 1883.

Yellowstone is a fast paced action drama with world class actors. 1883 is painfully slow with long boring monologues and more distance shots of horse riding from Faith and Tim. As always Sam Elliott is fantastic but even he can't carry the whole show by himself
Ya sure you even watched 1883 at all? Cause it wasn't all distance shots of Faith and Tim. In fact, there's barely any long boring monologues at all...
The show is packed with plenty of old western action, bandits, and gunslingers. This is one of the best westerns in decades and one of the only ones that feel like a true western.
Mr Anti-Gun himself now enjoying gun play. What a freaking hypocrite.
1883 is the best but NO more Tom Hanks please.
