- Be advised: Watching Gator cook on the set of Yellowstone WILL make you hungry. In this behind-the-scenes look, brought to you by ZipRecruiter, Gabriel “Gator” Guilbeau discusses his delicious role on the show. Yellowstone airs Sundays at 8/7c on Paramount Network.
#Yellowstone #ParamountNetwork
Yellowstone is a drama series that follows the Dutton family, led by patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner). The Duttons control the largest contiguous ranch in the U.S. and must contend with constant attacks by land developers, clashes with an Indian reservation and conflict with America's first national park.

I had no idea he was the actual chef for the set. That is so awesome.
I am with you!
I K R ⁉️
Legit
same here
I worked on Y:1883….Gator is the man.!!! His creations were best ever.!!! Nicest guy on top of that..!!! Hope to be on set again soon with him.!!!
For a show to give a part to someone who does something in real life like this tells you a lot about the people involved and the environment on set. Awesome.
All the guys that do the rodeo are real riders
I know like look at the horses they're just regular horse's but also actor horses
Like Jake and Ethan.
Damn! Great Comment.
That comes across in the other performances as well.
As much as I loved water world. Kevin is in his element with this.
Him trying the biscuit is one of my favorite scenes, its just very real to anyone from the south that can cook.
those are Pillsbury biscuits. . .. . .
Amen Sister.
Yes. I think we all do the biscuits thing we we pull a sheet of them out of the oven. Gotta try fore you serve em.
It was a damn good biscuit
Paramount whatever you do PLEASE DO NOT LET YELLOWSTONE END There has not been a show on TV this good since SOA . You have found the diamond in the rough so keep it gleaming.
Your opinion became invalid the moment you mentioned SOA. So Jax wrecking his bike in every episode was realistic to you? 😂
Same
@@smurphy1977 lmao
@@smurphy1977 to be fair ranchers getting away with murder and lack of investigations kinda unrealistic. I feel like longmire is a bit better.
@@cris5244 This is true also.
The little things.....
I Love how Taylor puts people from behind the set into the show, it always plays out pretty cool when watching it.
I like watching Taylor Sheridan be the cowboy he really is. He plays one in the show too. So cool!
Says alot about the creators that he is also a character on the show, and definitely gets recognition for his work cooking. I hope Gator is making a killing for his work.
It’s about dam time we see the hard workers taking care of the actors. GOOD JOB GATOR!😊❤
We die hard fans need to see more videos like this. Thanks for posting such a 'delicious' taste of Yellowstone!

I would love to try Gators food and now that I know he is actually a cook and not just an actor pretending to be a cook makes me want to try his food that much more.
Worked on Y:1883 and Gator’s food is amazing with great creations and all around nice guy too.!!!!!
Lies again? Pay Now
AGREED! #GATORSYELLOWSTONEFLAVORS! The cookbook coming to a store near you as soon as he gets the time to write it, I HOPE!! Plus, I think I should be a taste tester for him and his official fan if fans!!
I spent a career offshore and I can testify to the fact that the cook IS the one person who can keep the job going. After months offshore, food becomes the only thing to look forward to.
I second this.
Gator is one of my favorite characters in "Yellowstone". He came over so real and grounded, a real chef. And now it turns out: he is all that and more.
It all looks good. I would love to be on set just for Gator’s food.
I would work for free just to get some of Gator's food
@@lizabetx483 tell me about it.
2 scoops of ice cream, 3 shots of Vodka, please !
Yum!
Gator is the king , I would love to have a seat at Gator table
i love the fact that the chef in the show is an actual chef and walker who is a musician/drifter in the show is also an actual musician ryan bingham
2022 and have you seen how big gator got this season? saw him in ep6 and damn he big
I agree! Love everything about this show☺️
Great Details that add to the show.
And guys like Fori/Lloyd were actual rodeo cowboys back in the day!
This is a brilliant homage to someone who feeds and loves so many people.
Think about all the people who went to acting schools, longing for a role in a series like Yellowstone. Then there's this guy, who just grafts all his life and is rewarded with his dream job.
What a great story.
What do you mean by that?
@@turquoiselizzie6874 Does it really have to be explained...
Gator is the man...I just feel bad no one's ever in the house when it's dinner time. Invite me next time Gator...I'll show up...with a appetite and bottle of something.
I was just thinking that Kelley Reilly must really hate some of the meal scenes being as 'Beth' can't manage to stay at the table thru a meal!
We need a Yellowstone cookbook by Gator!
DEFINITLY!
There would be no Yellowstone without feeding the crew. Thank you, Gator. Your butter amount is like my German grandma's cooking!
Working on the Yellowstone production has to be the best gig in all of show biz.
I know a two dozen people working on that ranch and they hate every second. Locals hate this shit.
@@Cherishbelladonna why?
@@CherishbelladonnaThat’s the most interesting quote yet! Love to know more!
There ain't nothing like a good ol' fashion Louisiana gumbo with copious amounts of craw daddies ... It would be a honor just to smell the flavors of the "Gatoring" !!
LOVED this segment. He has a way with food and his onscreen presence is enjoyable as well. Definitely has a bright future ahead of him! Well done young man.
coolest thing about this show is them getting real people to play side roles. fantastic casting move
You can tell he takes alot of pride in his creations. It's cool that his food is actually enjoyed, because I always felt bad when nobody even seemed to eat much during the "dinner" scenes.
I’m from Lafayette La, the TRUE Cajun heartland and we really are the best cooks from anywhere around. I’ve been to California, New York everywhere, and nobody can even touch our cooking. People try but can’t do it lol. Never knew gator was from my neck of the woods. Now it makes sense lol
That’s not true
@Jake H, that's a pretty arrogant statement. Louisiana does have some good cooks, and I love the food. However, your statement is farfetched. Most Cajun food is deep-fried. Anyone can deep fry food. Blackened fish was a total accident when the chef burnt the fish for a dinner for the governor. The jambalaya and gumbo are just casseroles and stews. Adding hot peppers to everything doesn't make someone a great cook. I have been around the world. There are plenty of places with amazing food.
This show and everything it stands for and what the people involved stand for is amazing and the way life should be. Don’t invite yourself in somewhere and think it’s yours to do as you please.
So true in our society. So many have allowed GREED to rule their lives. "Pave Paradise, put up a Parking Lot"
I’ve worked with Gator before on some of those shows he talks about in Baton Rouge. Even then the guy was outpacing the actual caterers on productions. Jealous of everyone on the Yellowstone crew that gets to be spoiled by him on a daily basis.
Nice Respect, Gator is a great addition to the cast.
He is great in every scene they use him in.
It goes back to the chuck wagon. I love how they used him in the show.
So glad they brought Gator on to tell us all about all that good cooking and eating. Yummy! I am hungry now!
Gator is really honoring his ancestors. Love this!
TOTALLY! #GATORSYELLOWSTONEFLAVORS! Hopefully, coming to a website near you for pre-order! That would be fantastic! Again, I want to be the taste tester! Every show needs a taste tester to make sure the actors can go focus on their craft, instead of their tummies!
I love that this show is putting people doing there job they love as a part on the show. One huge Aussie fan 🇦🇺🐎
Gator has the job of a lifetime, doing what he loves and doing it for #YellowstoneTV ❤️
He is the heart and back bone of both production and cast
We were just watching episode 4, season 4 the other night, and I told my husband I would love to see what the 'Cook' (Had no idea he was actually on the show) was creating. Cooking is my passion, so I truly appreciate this video, please feel free to share more 'Gatoring' with us!
FWIW I have not watched a single episode of Yellowstone yet. But I LOVE that a great cook appears on the show and cooks for the crew! What Phenomenal double duty! I’m going to have to watch the show now!!
same !
Peacock streaming app has season 1-4,subscribtion price $4.99 a month
No, No!! Do not start to watch the show. Its addictive, wild, truthful, funny, serious, exciting. One of the best programs I have ever watched. I'm 81, I know! I like that it's a "currect" time frame. Cowboy's with cell phones. Very easy to relate to. Enjoy!!
You're in for a treat and a Taylor Sheridan wormhole that'll have you watching anything he's done.
@@karentate9114 🤣🤣🤣 I 2nd this comment. The show is SUPER ADDICTING. I caught up with the series during the Xmas break. Amazing story and the characters are awesome
Wish I could have one of those biscuits. Any biscuits not made by me is a damn good biscuit. Thank you for allowing me to know Gator. A charming young man.
This clip cheered me up, quality food, prepared with love is the path to ppls hearts and fame too apparently. Nice work gator
Now this is cooking. It all looks great. This guy is one of the best cooks I have ever seen. We need a Yellowstone cook book NOW!!
Love these behind the scenes videos!! Do I see a Yellowstone cook book in the future?? That would be AWSOME!!!
Thank you for showing this !! Thank you Gator for your hard work !!!
amen
I’m jealous. You all deserve the best for your hard work on set. So glad you have Gator there to keep you going in style!
we need more gator scenes 😋👍
I love Gator on the show! No idea that was what he really did. Great job! I loved the scenes from the branding. I really wish I could have ate that!
Respect Chef. You're a lucky man and they're some lucky stars to have you on set.
It’s so awesome to see a catering chef “Gator” become a part of the the show. The food looks great. 👍🏽👍🏽
Why is there no "Cooking with Gator" show!? This man is awesome!!!
No wonder everyone on set seems so satisfied and happy! 😀👍🏻awesome
I love Gator!! His meals look so good and I get mad when they leave all that food on the table!! ❤
Hopefully cast eats it after
Scences are filmed
Fantastic! So great to see this amazing chef hard at work, and that all on the set appreciate him so much...AND put him on the show! And yes, I'm now hungry watching this! Gator's food looks SO incredibly good!!!!!!
So "the best darned biscuits" probably are...except for mine! LOL!! Love it, who knew!!
There is nothing better than having people you live enjoy the food you make for them.
How cool to be the head of catering service and get to be on the show too!? Bam!
Nice BAM!
God bless Gator!!! Love this show. Was in from the very beginning!!!
I didn’t think it was posable to love this show any more 😀
Lots of favorite characters to choose from, but Gator is moving up the list *_FAST._*
Love this guy...Gator..your the best..
I thought characters taken to the "train station" were upset because they knew they were going to die. In reality, it's because they will be off the show and won't be able to eat anymore of Gator's food.
Finding this man and eating one of his Cajun meals is bucket list for this gal!!!!
We need his cookbook or something! Looks so good.
This is beyond brilliant!
Is set up is wonderful. I never knew he was a real chef!
I’m from SW Louisiana and yes we Men can cook a mean Southern Louisiana Dish like Etouffee!
Wonderful behind the scenes story. Thanks for sharing the realisms of these folks!
Been an extra and his food is out of this 🌎 absolutely love his Cajun food.
Just when you thought you couldn't possibly fall in love with this show even more. ❤😋 Much love from the UK! 🤠🤘👌
Love this guy! Thanks for sharing him.
I ❤️ how much they appreciate this man!
Wow making the caterer part of the show is an amazing idea
I already love the show, this makes me appreciate its authenticity even more!
Gator 🐊 we love you man Keep up the great work on and off cam broth .
Just got his cookbook! Love this guy! And I love how much appreciation the cast and crew show him. Such an overlooked position!
Pretty awesome they made the craft service guy a part of the show.
Catch me sneaking on to the set to eat with them 😫 it all looked soooooo good
Lol This is awesome!!! I want to know if this is the best gig Gator has ever had? In the beautiful location, a bad ass show with (hello!) Kevin Costner and now he’s a star!! Love the addition of Gator on the show! I thought “How cool they have a Cowboy Caterer!!”
This makes me love this show even more with the fact they use their actual set cook as the cook on the show!! Awesome!
Awesome! The cast and crew are well fed!!
Awesome!!! It soooo great that the actors nd actresses have that. Every set should. Thank you Gator for all your great cooking nd hard work!!!
I've been lucky enough to have the opportunity to be on the show 3 separate times, as an extra (obviously) For season 2 and 3 I was a background cowboy and a spectator for a few rodeo scenes. And I got to tell you...the amount of work it takes to feed so many people is unreal. And the quality of food is nothing short of gourmet. I don't know if I ate this guy's particular food, but it looks just as delicious as what I had.
And something that blew me away the first time I went was the amount of money they spent on us extras alone was insane. I don't remember what our pay rate was, but with the amount of extras that night, they paid out $30,000 just for us background people alone. It was an incredible experience. Unfortunately, I was eligible to be a stunt rider for actual bull riding shots, but never got the chance to get on.
I saw this clip before I even saw Yellowstone and now I'm on season 2! So thank you Gator 👍thank you.
I'm the gator in my circle except with a Mexican background instead of Cajun. Cooking is how I express myself and nothing is more rewarding than seeing people's faces light up. I haven't had the pleasure uf watching this show but have heard great things I will wait till the series finally and bing it all at once.
No! No! You will get addicted. One of the best things I have ever seen. I'm 81, I can judge! Fantastic writing, casting, all of it=FANTASTIC. set aside a few days and watch. You will NOT be disappointed. Enjoy!
I was just wondering if he was still behind the scenes and gonna be in front of the camera! Happy to see he's still around!
Thank you to all involved with this show !!! Well done👏👏👏💕🇺🇸
I love this! Gator as Gator................ just like Mo Brings Plenty as MoBrings Plenty- almost like the writers couldn't think of a better name on set!
Best show, crew, ever! Thank you for ALL of your hard work. Please keep this coming for years!
Even the grilled octopus looks good. Gator is da man!
I hate watching behind the scenes stuff, but god damn this was awesome haha. Good for Gator.
Gator is my favorite character in the show, but I had zero clue he catered the set. That is brilliant!
Im jealous.
This is what I would want to be a part of.
Helping out with the food prep and working hard behind the scene.
Is there room for more helpers?
I’m jealous of that food!
This is cool. Good job whoever thought of putting this out
I love everything about this, tears to my eye
From Louisiana you know its the best food. Now the name “Gator” makes sense.
I love me some Gator! I knew in my heart he was a real cook lol a cook knows! How can one show have so much to love. Yellowstone has it all! I can only imagine how much fun this cast must have and then good food! Nothing better than this.
I have cooked all my life in high end restaurants and when you have a big budget to work with and you can do what you want it’s amazing. Gator is basically doing what ever he wants and people are loving it
Nineteen people were taken to the train station.
man i love gator. if i was fortunate enough to have a lad like gator cook for me & mine, id hug him everyday & tell him how much he’s appreciated.
Go find an Amish restaurant, they have great food.
I would love to eat some of his food. Everything he makes looks amazing
I love Gator, too! Now I need to try some of his fabulous cuisine!😂
The first scene where they gave him a line, made me so happy.
It’s wonderful that he has his own spot in this video. As I sit here drooling, I’d like to shout, YOU DESERVE IT GATOR!
A fantastic clip of him . Yellowstone my new favourite TV shows, looking in from Ireland 🇮🇪
