I don't usually feel comfortable saying things like this - but I love that guy.
he is rather cool
Thank you for sharing Bret. Sonny Rollins is a Master. Currently listening to Way Out West. Just Beautiful.
He's a KOOL KAT!!
One of the originals, that's for sure.
This man likes life, he dont want to hear about his end ! That's cool!!! That's how you live 88 years on earth.
A true force of nature. Nice interview. Gotta redefine that 3rd act though Bret!
Too good, his a life student and his study Books are writen in jazz.
This is an older interview you did correct?
2012
Unintentional ASMR.
ha
I’m not sure why you’d call any jazz great “The leading jazz musician on earth at this time.” In an interview
Sam Flegal I think he did this because, I mean, heck, ITS SONNY ROLLINS. I think what he meant was pretty much every other jazz great is not alive today. So by default, he’s the greatest. With his amount of experience he’s had and the time that he’s been alive, I don’t blame him!
A play can can have more than 3 acts. A life can have more than 3 acts and this is why Mr Rollins is a genius and the interviewer is not. He refuses to be bound by conventions or limited thinking such as a third and final act. H refuses to be categorized. Right on!
