Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 7th tier of English football, the Isthmian League North. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were eventually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. In 2023 we won the Isthmian League North and will now play in the Isthmian Premier!
We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 3rd tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, after they also won their league in 2023. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams, an inclusive team and a walking football team...plus our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. I've never seen a ref behave like this guy, even the last whistle of just demanding the ball from a throw, that's a whole new level of bigheadedness.

I cant lie, from my experience/pov refs like this do in fact influence tempers and frustrations in a game. If ur frustrated or made a foul you knew wasnt smart, and a little man with an incredibly sassy, extra attitude runs upto you and books you, it certainly doesnt help. Probably doesnt have much to say at home and compensates on the pitch😂
6-3 was flattering when the goals were going in I thought it was ending 8-1

I don’t know if it’s just who he is but he looks so unbothered. Not in a bad way because he always plays pretty well but the form of everyone’s dropped slightly. It’ll pick up again. 💪
I was thinking exactly the same. I think the pace of the higher league is too much for him everything he does seems slow and sluggish

@@TheRandomDudee When watching the 90 minute games he is actually very good. He does look like he is down. I’ve been told it’s just the way he is. Very calm on the ball. Also need to remember his fitness is managed as he is one of the older players.

The step up in quality for this league is huge, people need to remember that. Also, if anyone can sort this situation out, it's Devs and Joe. Give the boys time, still settling. I would also say, squad depth seems to be an issue at the minute.

@@reachnugget7435bit extreme mate. They’re mid table and drew against 2nd place last week. I’ll be the first to admit this was a terrible performance but they come and go. I don’t think they’ll be going back down but they better strive to improve upon this shite result that’s for sure.

This result might be a blessing for the team going forward. All those draws made it look like the team is ok, roster wise. Imo this game showed the three biggest problems # faces. A fast cb next to Haysom, a better rb [edit: lb] and a true scorer up front. I think AT has found his limit this year. As for Camilo, he has flair, but more often than not his last decision is the wrong one, wasting chances for him and for others.
Camilo lacks the work ethic that i think when he is on the field he hurts us he doesn't do enough to help the team
When we get to the byline the cut back is on EVERY SINGLE TIME yet we float it into the gk or cbs, re watch us attack first half it was on so many times ! Keep going lads 👊

I've never seen a freekick given against a keeper who handles it outside the box on a goal kick. But of course it's this ref who gives one, which made me go back and look at it closer.
Pause the video at 18:56, and use the < and > keys to move it frame by frame. The keeper releases it from his hands a good distance inside his own box. Just not even a close call, but this ref was constantly looking for ways to be extra all game!
Alfie and AT should be starting together, the formation leaves us with a lack of presence in the final third, and every time Alfie comes on with AT we look dangerous. Could be a formidable duo if they get some time together, especially with all the crosses we produce.

Agreed. You then have 2 proper CF's to gather the long options/diagonals and hold up play. Last season it felt like every time the ball went in the box we looked like scoring, unfortunately it looks the other way round this season. need more presence!

Misha's been consistent. When he plays, he's always contributing a goal or an assist. He needs to play. But I do agree, I feel as though there is something lacking in the attack. Francis provided something so dynamic, it's difficult

10 times is crazy ngl. Toby is almost underrated at this point. Runs, control and even delivery at times. Toby has that x-factor which is needed in certain games. @@YUnitedFootball

To see Reece Beckles is a blast from the past for me. Used to play for my local in Woking, no surprise he was trouble for the Tags.
Match really showcases the difference at this level, most of their goals were great strikes that were placed well, how many players do we have that could even pull off shots like that given the time? They had plenty of composure, whereas anytime we have any chance of shooting it just always looked rushed.

I said this last video as well, but it still seems like everyone in the comments wants us to be competing for the title or at least not far away, despite it being our first season at this level. I feel like its more realistic to aim to survive and then push for it next season.
Nigel Aris might be one of the most one-note players I've ever seen in my life. Whoever said "he puts his head down and sprints" has to be the most backhanded compliments you'd never want to hear. Brenden Aaronson vibes, I will hear no contest.
Sam Cornish is being wasted in the 8 role, he's more of a 10. Restrepo is also a 10 but can play the LW since he's right footed.
So play Restrepo on the LW, Cornish behind the striker, and maybe find a left footed RW to be more direct. If you're going to have your LB and RB pushing so high for crosses then you don't need your wingers to be crossers as well, let them be inverted and play more direct.
The season is summed up with one major flaw in the squad. Never fully replacing Jermaine Francis (not that you ever could!) but he played as two players at times! Believe the team can turn their form around, but not until someone steps up and really takes control of the mid (Cornish has been nearly there at times, but not with the same industry as Francis. UTTags

I feel like Hashtag aren't playing to their specialties. They keep trying to play passing football trying to create the perfect goal but stopped crossing and as a result the attack has been flat for a few games
