- The developmental stages and the funny little things Jamie did while trying to crawl. The whole process was between a 3 month timeline, starting from 5 months onwards.

Help by bringing their knees up for them. But generally they get there in there own time, they are all different

We're in stage 5 with my almost 8 month old. Can't wait until he can get around on his own. Though he does a pretty good job rolling his way around the living room. 🤣

I’m so glad I looked at this video. My baby girl 5 months and doing the frustrated swimmer & the rocking horse 😂 so I guess I’m a few weeks she will be trying to crawl 😎 so proud of my baby.

I wouldn’t be so sure, my son has been stuck on those stages for like 3 months. At 4 weeks he was making the movements to crawl when we gave him tummy time and we thought he would be crawling really early. But he’s just turned 9 months and is still stuck on 5-6, but he’s standing up at the table and moving around on his legs more and more, starting to think he’ll walk before he crawls 🤔🤔

This is brilliant. My daughter is 5 months old and she's been trying to crawl for the past week or so. Do you remember how long did the frustrated swimmer stage last? That's where she is at the moment 😊 sometimes hard to watch as she makes all sorts of straining noises and goes all red from trying. I then have to stop all the fun and tears follow 😑 we do reflexology, baby massage and yoga so that helps a little 😊
Thank you! I was a good 3 weeks stuck on that stage! I kept trying to pull his knees up when he was in the swimmers position and hold his feet to try and encourage him to bring him knees up himself. He eventually got the hint but it is a very frustrating stage for them!.. and you!
@@SarahJParker thanks Sarah. Hope she'll progress quickly. She is now bringing her knees up and lifting her bottom slightly so fingers crossed 😊

Such a cute video our 11 month old is now a professional crawler getting ready to walk I think soon as he keeps trying to get on his legs and cruising around with furniture xx

My little guy went straight to army crawling and he was so fast because we have wooden floors. Once I started picking his butt up he quickly started crawing and he's even faster now.
I told they wife we could make some money on him.
You guessed it, I got a dirty look lol.
My baby girl is 8 months old and is still at stage three... dnt know how much time it takes in total to become a professional crawler. Its good to know there are stages in it otherwise i was thinking what is missing why my girl is not able to crawl even though she is been trying from last couple of months. She has learnt to roll over and lay down and rest and she is professional at resting ...lol... she gives up very easily dnt know why... thanks for the video...
Aww bless her! 'Professional at resting' that's funny. They all develop at different rates, some babies skip crawling altogether and walk first!

My baby girl is 4 months old she hit stage 1 at 3 months were at strange 2 she’s right next to stage 3 but she doesn’t like to use her arms while she trying to crawl.. I have a small hoppy pillow I put her hips on to encourage her knees to be in the correct position while getting her to use her arms. Without the pillow she cries in frustration but with the pillow she’s entertained. I’m not sure it’s working perfectly but it’s definitely progress!

It's so fun to watch other babies learn to crawl! Mine was 7 months before she was crawling but she went from going backwards to army crawling to a true crawl with efficiency in 10 days and goes everywhere as fast as she can now!

My son is six months and he has literally all over the place it’s like he couldn’t wait to be able to crawl he learned within a week and just will not sit still now pulling himself up and touching everything 🤣😫

I wish I could ask my mom about when I was crawling! She told me I was walking by 7 months, and I thought that was ludicrous, until I was given dated photos of me as a baby confirming that I was consistently on my feet, in all of the photos; it wasn’t just one fluke picture. I know some kids kinda bypass crawling for walking, and others will be capable of crawling but won’t actually do it, because they are smart and allow themselves to be taken care of, instead... 😂 You never know with kiddos.

All babies are very different. There is no correct answer for this
Idk but my boy is barely going into 4 months n is the frustrated swimmer he even tries to stand up

Jordifer Jamie seemed stuck on number 2 for aaaages! But once he learnt to actually move his hands nd feet it was very quick from then!!

My little boy is nearly a year old and still doesn't known how to crawl, he prefers to stand up. Hes at the rocking horse stage atm.
I have heard that some babies skip crawling altogether and go straight to walking.. or bum shuffling lol!

Okay. Completely normal. Help him to sit independently with support first then help him transition to hands on the floor &\ until he moves his knees forward leaning he will transition to tummy down then pivot prone and then push up with hands forward then under this chin and then pushing up. Rocking toward and back and then he will bear weight on his knees to crawl around 9 or ten months. Did he sit up yet by himself from any position?

I wouldn't worry. My friends baby didnt sit unaided until 10 months! All babies are different and they do everything in there own time. Just keep propping him up in a sitting position with pillows and he will get there!

Please do not worry! Some children skip crawling altogether and just walk! And they are all at different rates. Please don't be disheartened. Enjoy that you are not chasing her around everywhere yet!
