If you are planning an Ireland road trip, I hope you will be inspired by this 5-day itinerary driving a loop from Dublin around the stunning northwest Ireland via Galway and back to Dublin.
Ireland is Europe's second biggest island. Ireland is also known for its wide expanse of lush, sumptuous shades of green, which is why Ireland is also called the Emerald Isle.
The best way to truly see Ireland is to self-drive along the narrow roads of villages and country lanes and the occasional motorway between cities. You will, for sure, make a lot of stops along the way as there are plenty of unbelievably beautiful sceneries on this route so make sure you incorporate this in your planning.
We also drove along the Wild Atlantic Way, which is this beautiful coastal route on the western side of Ireland.
