  • Come join me as I travel 16 hours onboard the last remaining Soviet sleeper train in Europe. This Soviet sleeper train connects Bucharest, the capital of Romania, and Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. The line is called Prietenia, which means friendship in Romanian. This is an ultimate train journey if you want to experience what's it like back in the Soviet time. This is like travelling in a museum where you sleep in one country and wake up in another.
If you're interested in unique train journeys in Europe, then this video is for you.
In this video I cover everything there is to know onboard the Soviet sleeper train in Europe. What does it look like onboard and what to expect when travelling aboard this unique train line? Hopefully, this gives you an idea on what to expect onboard this Soviet sleeper train.
Do you think you'd take this Soviet sleeper train? Let me know in the comment below.

    ✅ About Ryan Pelle
My name's Ryan, and welcome to my channel.
Instead of buying an expensive car or a Harley Davidson motorbike to get through my mid-life crisis, I started this channel instead 😂 As a newfound hobby, I'm documenting my walks/hikes and travels using the ever-reliable GoPro. The hope is that it encourages you - the audience - to explore the great outdoors and maybe give you some tips and ideas along the way.
I'm from the Philippines (in case you're wondering about the accent 😊) #pinoyyoutuber
I'm currently on a mission to visit all the countries in Europe.

Not correct about the Stalin and the railway gauge: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/5_ft_and_1520_mm_gauge_railways Finland is still using 1524 gauge, despite it never was any part of Soviet Union.

Thank you for pointing this out. Much appreciated.

I like very much your way of filming and commentaries. I like also the attention you give to details (fabric pattern, the deficient lighting, the intrusion at 3AM into your room, just to take and put back some useful tools, etc). This makes your video so lively !

Thank you, Alain 🙏. Greatly appreciate your feedback. I tried to show what I experienced (and my thoughts) being on the Soviet sleeper train and I’m glad it came across well :)

I found you looking for info on Dubrovnik, now here looking the overnight train somewhere completely different! Your content is really interesting. That carriage reminds me of the Trans-Siberian back in 2001

I like that youtube algorythm is recommending small channels, because you seem like a cool guy. Cheers from the Czech Republic! Hope to see you here aswell, I think you will like it. (PS: We also got some old soviet trains still operating, not sleepers tho)
