Don't store your batteries like that. The positive and negatives should not touch eachother :) look it up...they get hot and will/could start a fire. I would make sure their lined up like they are stored in original packaging. Also when you throw them away wrap with electrical tape before throwing in bag...but they should be recycled ;))) peace and love :)
I've really enjoyed expanding the way I implement organizational tools, and your videos are entertaining and useful in giving me even more ideas. I use the dollar store silverware trays for larger utensils, like my wooden spoons and spatulas, tongs, etc, and it works really well ! You're absolutely right about everything having a place of its own; it's the ONLY way any organizing system can work. Life is so much simpler when you don't have to hunt for the things you need. That applies to more than utensils, it works with my wardrobe, tools, makeup, paperwork... everything but people. LOL
I love the Dollar store. I had never been to one until I viewed your videos. I outfitted and organized a whole closet spending so little money! You are AMAZING!
Isn't that liner just the best? I love it. That's a great idea for the tool drawers! I wish we had a Costco membership....I feel like I would love that place. ;P
Hey! I’m a new subscriber who LOVES organization and I’m really enjoying your videos! I have been looking for a solution for my cooking utensils drawer for a while and this was so helpful. Heading to dollar tree now to get the sticky drawer liner so my things don’t shift all the time! Thanks so much!
In a very similarly organized drawer for spatulas...divided by wooden/plastic, and my flatware is in the traditional holder...but it works so I use it! :)
I like the idea of labeling the drawer utensils because, if my kids are helping me put the dishes away they can do it without misplacing things. I found that a picture of the already organized drawer works great too!
I agree with you totally! I know there are some who say junk drawers are a "no-no" but it works for us! By the way, I love your vids! Keep up the great work :)
i just got some rubber grip liners at dollar tree......their met for crisper drawer in the fridge but they work well for kitchen drawers........usually two per drawer......ive watched all your videos and waiting for some new ones.......keep up the great vids!
I subscribed to your videos because you think as I do.... it is fun to be organized! I need a do-hicky bowl, though! I have the same liner in MY drawers... I have put it everywhere! My husband also uses it in the bottom of his tool drawers; things don't move around. They stay where put! You can buy huge rolls of it at Costco.
This video is strangely similar to one that Alejandra made less than a month earlier, with the same comment at the end about labeling an area for the wisk.
Love your "How I Do Things". I have picked up a number of tips from you and apply them to my home. Keep up the great job! p.s. craft idea - I heard on the radio the other other day that there are a "billgillion" ways to reuse plasticgrocery bags - I like how you store them in your car -- I copied you - however maybe there a craft or use you could show us - I know many of us have them around.
I love the Junk Drawer organization! However- I do a LOT of cooking & baking and I'm a bit of a 'junkie' when it comes to kitchen gadgets and tools and I have a *lot* of them :( So unfortunately I don't think my utensil drawers will ever be that neat despite my best intentions! Haha! Anyway- keep up the amazing work as always! I'm so glad I discovered your channel about a month back- (even though I just recently got around to subscribing). It's a life saver! xxxAmber
I like your idea of not having something get on top of something else. I think this is a common mistake a lot of us are doing, without noticing. Also, the rubber sheet underneath your kitchen utensils drawers... I actually have 2 rolls of those sheet put at the corner of one of our kitchen's cabinets, that I have totally forgotten to use in our kitchen utensils drawer... how silly was I? Until now, thank you very much to mention in this video, I will surly go fix the drawer ASAP :-D
Great tips:) My problem is I have waaay too many kitchen gadgets and gizmos. I really need to clean out, donate and organize!! Or so my oldest daughter is always nagging me to do lol but she's sooo right!! One more tip for that drawer liner. Cut out a small square of it that's just big enough to fit your hand and it makes an excellent jar opener!! :)
First time EVER ...that I saw a Junk drawer that wasn't JUNKY lol lol lol :) Great idea's again....Right now I'm PURGING "EVERYTHING" ....starting with my clothes 'again'....and working my way through my papers... crafts/books etc.....everything's has GOT to go that I do NOT use....less IS best :)
LoVe the mat Thingy & the Wire Baskets :) I have an IKEA plastic organizer thinga-magig. But I'm kinda So over it. Where & how do u keep ur Flatware & ur Spatulas & Reg cooking utensils ?
Hi Kathryn, I realized that this video is a couple years old. I do have a request and I hope it's not too late to ask. I have a lot of kitchen tools I collected over the years. I love to cook and bake so those tools get used often. I basically have 2-3 items of the same thing and we use them all. My kitchen is big and has a lot of larger drawers. How do you suggest I should organize? Can you do a video on some ideas you may have? Thanks.
i agree with u .for the clean junk drawer it keeps things handy .....without wadting time looking for it ......i just saw tod,ay at walmart ...a labler thats almost 50$ with tax here in canada its crazy expensive.......were can i ger cheaper ..thanks again
a junk drawer just lets you keep things messy I don't agree with junk drawers. although your drawer looks neat I just feel those thinks aren't needed in the kitchen. maybe in an office in a jar , but i respect your choice and I did get other things from your vid
I wen out this weekend and bought a bunch of bin's, baskets, and such and organized my kitchen drawers, But I have to ask how you organize the bigger spoon's, spatula's etc. ?
Where do you put your recycles (plastic, cans, glasses, papers) could you do an episode on it? Also how to store cleaning tools such as p broom, vacuum cleaner, mop n bucket? Thank you!
DO NOT STORE YOUR BATTERIES LIKE THAT IN A TUB - IF TWO ENDS CONNECT IT CAN START A FIRE. I organize mine but put scotch tape on the top of each one so they can never get on fire.
Thanks for the nicely done video with planned dialogue. Having the kitchen hand tools all silver/black goes a long way to support the neat, cohesive appearance.
lol a neighbor came over to borrow ingredients for a high school cooking assignment and he realized I cooked from scratch every night. I said something like "oh we'll what does your mom cook for you?" and he said "Take out." haha
Better put some child safety locks on those suckers for when you little man becomes a toddler :) Hehe..I'm a mother of a 2 year old and let me tell ya...I am very OCD organized, but those little hands find their way into every drawer in my house :) Great video!
OMG! in less than 45 seconds you showed me the problem with my junk drawer- PAPER!!!!! You just don't know how this is BLESSING me!
One of my favorite things about watching old videos is seeing how things have changed!

Amen to that!!! :) I took out a few dupes last year, and it made all the difference for me.
thank you! I love finds like that at GW!
Isn't that liner just the best? I love it. That's a great idea for the tool drawers! I wish we had a Costco membership....I feel like I would love that place. ;P
Thank you, Nikki! You are so sweet.
Thank you Amber! You are so sweet.

Your so awesome! Your my kind of gal :)! Love how you organize! Another great video!
very nice :) I love that grip mat-paper stuff. I use it for my pots and pans drawer to protect the wood from bangs and scratches.
I love, another person with an organized junk drawer!!
How do you get your rubber grip drawer liner to stick to the bottom of your drawer? Mine doesn't stay down and I'm constantly straightening it out.
We have the same garlic press, wine opener tongues, and black cooking scissors.😊👍

I use my garlic press five times a week!

Great video....very helpful
I really like your cupboards, where did you purchase them?
Thank you :) They were a Rustoleum DIY kit so I don't think it has a name.

In another drawer with similar organization...I wish I would have showed that as part of the video!!
Do you know what color your cabinets are? I like the color. I liked your tips today. Thanks.

We have a junk drawer too. Great idea.
P.s Id love to see a vlog of your master bedroom.. Organization and a tour. Thanks
Also you can use a marker and outline their shape for quick reference placement 👍🏻👍🏻❤️🤗💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👵🏼
Where do you put your recycles (plastic, cans, glasses, papers) could you do an episode on it? Also how to store cleaning tools such as p broom, vacuum cleaner, mop n bucket? Thank you!
Sorry PS ~
LoVe the CUTE Bowl in the Junk Drawer too. It makes the Junk drawer look Oh so Fab ;)
Just wondering where u keep ur spatulas and big spoons...
DO NOT STORE YOUR BATTERIES LIKE THAT IN A TUB - IF TWO ENDS CONNECT IT CAN START A FIRE. I organize mine but put scotch tape on the top of each one so they can never get on fire.
Deborah Alfano I put mine in the frig......was told they last longer....and so far so good ; )
+Deborah Alfano Okay, why is there no warning on battery packaging about the two ends connecting and it can start a fire?
+Josephine Tyree I put mine in the frig also.
I organize by having a drawer for vinyl & rubber utensils & a drawer for the metal utensils.
Love you're videos!! They are sooo helpful buuut, I use my garlic press every day because I make dinner thank you very much. Lol
Thanks for the nicely done video with planned dialogue. Having the kitchen hand tools all silver/black goes a long way to support the neat, cohesive appearance.
Funny, I use my garlic presser everyday! Just love fresh garlic!
I cook & bake a lot!
ahhhhhhhhhh... do you hear the angels singing??? I do~
This is so much cheaper than the rubber mat (Alejandra mentioned before) that make the utensils don't move. I found those in dollar tree, too.
lol a neighbor came over to borrow ingredients for a high school cooking assignment and he realized I cooked from scratch every night. I said something like "oh we'll what does your mom cook for you?" and he said "Take out." haha

★★★Looks like I'm going to Dollar Tree this weekend! :)
Girl, I wish I could come eat a your house! YUM :)
Thanks I love kitchen organizing tips.If its not organized then it's time to purge.
Great job but where are your butter knifes, forks and spoons?!?!
That is the neatest drunk drawer I have ever seen.
My nightmare is my laundry /storage/pantry room !!!
You need to use RECYCLABLE batteries. Geez!!!! Those you have are bad for the environment!!!!
