- Nier Reincarnation is the first mobile title in the Nier series. It's an RPG that takes place in the same universe as Nier, and its sequel Nier: Automata.
Nier Reincarnation will release on iOS and Android devices on July 28, 2021. It'll be available as a free download with in-app purchases. Players can pre-register through the AppStore and Google Play now. Upon reaching 600,000 pre-registrations, all players will receive enough gems to complete 15 Summons for free, in addition to valuable materials needed to enhance characters.

My theory is that this is all taking place within the Ark the machines made at the end of Automata. Based on the reality where it’s not destroyed at the end and escapes. It would make sense since it’s a culmination of the memories of mankind. If Adam and Eve show up in it, that would probably confirm it. Just a theory though.
Mentions of the flower and gods, interesting. Hopefully it does a fallout shelter, and comes to other platforms in the future.

Not as many gullible people on the switch as there are on mobile. Most console gamers are not that into getting nickel and dimed with gotcha mechanics. With the prominent exception of the sports gamers and their FUT.

The entire game is just one-touch and auto controls.. you can even move the little girl entirely with auto-run.
You can just hook up an Xbox one controller to your phone.

Went into the beta no expecting much and really enjoyed it. The music is great, it's purty and the stories were great. Just hoping the micro-transactions aren't too crazy.
Did it show that micro-transactions would be present from what you could tell? Just curious imma still play it but one day I'm hoping a legit game will release to mobile and just be "a game" not a money pit lol
It's Square so the micro transactions will be horrendous.
@@rockwallcat There's plenty of legit games on mobile. But beyond headliners on stores, they're hard to track down, or part of an attempted sub service like Apple Arcade. And this Nier's basic campaign will probably still be nice, just the whole game will be riddled with gacha/random draws, energy system, etc.
In the beta we didn't get to see any of the actual micro-transactions, but from what we did get it seems that they're not particularly intrusive and you could probably finish the game without ever having to look at them :) Although yes, energy is a bit of problem...
@@Jude_5555 Its gacha so there's definitely a way to clear all story with fully f2p (iffy on using the gacha itself, but definitely using it with free currency) - whether it takes hours, days, weeks longer than payers is another story, but still.
Endgame features will be monetized to hell.

you can play mobile games on your computer through blue stacks. just login with your android account and it emulates a phone on your computer. completely legal too.

Gonna take a shot in the dark - it's Reincarnation, because it's in/on that probe that fires out at the end of Automata, and so we'll encounter stored versions of characters from both, including A2 and 2B (the woman who cradles her sister in her arms looks a lot like her).

The Gatcha system will probably be similar to SINoALICE, another mobile game by Yoko Taro. You get some characters for free and most of the gatcha will be tied to weapons (like Opera Omnina: Dissidiea Final Fantasy).

@@XAntohax It'll be nothing like Genshin. NieR goes very deep while Genshin Impact has hardly anything to it's story, Genshins story is only complex due to it not being completed so we have no answers :)

Probably not, at least not initially. It’ll be a gacha game similar to Taro’s SinoAlice and the description shows July 28th as the mobile release.
