- In this video I take a look at a Irish Medieval style of sword. These are interesting and quite unique style of swords and are one of our favorite styles.
There are pictures of the original swords mentioned in our blog post here www.arms-n-arm...
Check out all of our items at www.arms-n-armor.com
Makes sense for the Irish to use a light sword. Much of the time they were fighting non armored opponents in skirmishes. Very similar to how thin Scottish 2 handed swords were.
Always love seeing you talk through some of the custom and semi-custom work that comes through the shop. More of this please.
You got it!
That's beautiful. I don't think it will happen, but I'd love to have an Irish sword.
That is a really nice Irish sword!!! BTW, I hope You get the most You can out of it and the buyer truly Appreciate's Irish swords.
cool sword i would love to have one
Nice piece Craig; well done.
Thank you! Cheers!
It's a sober but stylish sword, I think bling doesn't belong on a weapon so I like that concept.
Incredibly beautiful! Where will that sword be sold?
The Minnesota Renaissance Festival. (4:16)
Where could I go to buy a sword like that? And what would be the price?
I’ve always wanted an Irish ring-pommel sword. Are these weapons forged in the United States or in Europe?
Did it get sold yet?
🗿👍🏿
Cool sword but this video sounds haunted! lol
Sorry super busy had to shoot on the fly
@@armsarmorinc.4153 No worries, I just thought maybe you had ghosts! 😆
6150 is one of the lowest possible quality blade steel you can use. Might as well make them out of 440c like united cutlery and call it a day. Albion set a garbage precedent.
If I’m not wrong arms and armor started using this steel long before Albion did. I’m a big fan of good quality steels and while “better” steels are available and sound nice ultimately at least as far as I’m aware this is probably one of the best steels you are going to get for forging swords in terms of toughness and flexibility or springiness while also still being workable. Besides 6150 steel is way better than what was on the swords they were making at the time and these are reproductions. Plus they still want to keep things relatively affordable and make a living.
