My late father always wanted a piper at his funeral, He died suddenly last week after 38 years of Military/ Police duty, He was an amazing man and there was not a dry eye in the whole funeral home when they played amazing grace and this song... 2021 I lost my Grandmother, my mother, and my great uncle. Just this morning today I had to send my dog to heaven. This song indeed makes me cry and has me think of them. I miss them so much.

This song was played at Ronald Reagan's funeral, but it was played by a military band at the airport after the church service. It too was very moving. You coouldn't help but to get choked up as did many of the people did on hand, whether you liked him or not.

My grandfather passed away last week and, during his funeral, our family entered together, led by a piper performing this piece.
I love Dvorak and I love his 9th Symphony but I will never hear it quite the same now that I have heard this.

It is beautiful and I still tear up at each listen.
I love Dvorak and I knew this melody as soon as I heard it, but I was blown away by the transcription for pipes and am in love with the piece.

This is a very moving piece of music! I have always liked bagpipes, but this particular piece along with the colorful photo of the forest makes it quite difficult knowing the meaning of it.
