Awesome your talking about this stuff Stan! Our country is falling apart and we need all hands on deck to help facilitate critical thinking. Keep it going man!
This video timing is perfect. As a fellow HSHS grad and a trades professional myself, I have been talking about this to youth for years. My wife and I even provide a scholarship at Rosemount high for youth going into the trades. The only requirement is the trades. Keep showing the trades and just what the future could be for anyone. More than willing to talk or collaborate anytime. Thanks again. Great job. Stay strong.
I learned how to be a plumber, electrician, hvac tech, framer, finisher etc… out of necessity when I was growing up in the 80s. Was too poor to pay someone else to do it so I figured it out. I have multiple degrees and a great income now, but I still do those things because I want to keep my skill of “figuring things out” sharp. Plus, I love working with my hands on objects I can’t kill.
I think you are exactly right. It seems like colleges are more interested in pushing ideologies and changing societal norms than actually educating students. Sad state of affairs. Keep pushing trade schools.
I work the landscape trade and I have a Masters degree. The degree enhances the trade. The degree wasn't necessary but I made it work for me. I went to the U of M twin cities and thought it was great. The key is to have an open mind and think critically about everything. Indoctrination can and does happen in all parts of society. Left, right, liberal, conservative, religious, not religious. Think critically & come to your own judgements. Thanks Stan for another good video.
Hi Stan,I read that there's a big increase in kids now trying to get into trade schools .Even to the point of turning people away.In ten years there will be a overabundance .

The brotherhood in the trades was seen on Saturday 4/27/24 when we laid an Asplundh General Foreman to rest, 27 years on the job, died of cancer. Tree guys and lineman from the CT, MA, and RI area all showed up to pay their respects to his wife, kid, crew and former crew member. Half of the guys who showed, didn’t know the deceased like most of us there did, but they all showed up to see him be laid to rest. That’s how the trades are.
“Frankie likes to overbuild stuf”. Frankie sounds like my type of guy. Stan, I love your take and have enjoyed seeing you getting more into the political and spiritual discussions. I agree with you about the indoctrination at colleges. I am more pessimistic than you about job security for the trades. I hate to be so negative, but I believe robots are coming for every job. It may take 5 years. It may even take 10, but I believe it will happen gradually. Unless regular people choose to hire only companies that hire humans, companies will bring on more and more automation. We could already technically build them, but it it may not be financially feasible yet. Now that multiple companies are promising robots in the next year or two, It may force prices on robots down. Once it gets to the point that the robot costs a couple years salary, companies might start buying them and replacing jobs which will just increase demand. I hope I’m wrong. Thanks for all the info and entertainment I’ve gotten from you. Keep it up.
Actually, you are right. This process started years ago, but with humans in the factories. Some residential housing builders have been ordering pre-built wall sections and trusses for roofs. The contractors mark the slab, stand up the walls, and use trusses. Robots will replace the factory workers. However, for right now, we still need humans for the fine details. Slabs sink, walls and headers twist, doorways and window openings are not always quite right. I was a subcontractor with cornice. Then I worked for the builders. I got tired of getting late draws from them and I moved to remodeling. So much better, except it was dirty work. Harder for estimates, too. I most definitely did not do electrical, HVAC, plumbing, gas, network lines, repair tons of appliances, limited commercial work, painting, pressure washing, tree trimming, roofing, junk hauling, drywall, insulation including covering the inside walls and ceilings with thick plastic rolls to keep the fiberglass from getting in the air if the job had a long delay before drywall or never to have drywall, or covering roof decking with a double layer of 30lb with a ton of tin caps to prevent water getting in when shingling was delayed for a long time. Nope. Because that would require talking to other contractors and extensive studying technical books to insure quality and proper installation. As far as colleges, I studied Chemistry and Biochemistry, ran out of money with 2 classes to take. I did come away with the techniques for extremely precise measuring (very easy if you know how) and one semester of Spanish. Which, living in Texas, brought me up to full fluency through working and living almost only in Spanish.
What you said is right, but (regardless of the actual conflict), these things wouldn't happen when your admins don't won't it, most likely they try to split the people even more, so that the people go against each other over these poeple and leave the real problem alone (again).
I’m a student at a very pretty well respected university outside San Francisco. It is known for being liberal, but that is the case with all universities. Let me tell you, if you look around the school, you will find plenty of students laughing at the bafoons that are protesting America and all that BS. Additionally, most of my friends are mediocrely handy and with Frats we learn how to build a lot. I am a finance major and will likely go into investment banking out of college. I am also looking at being a commercial contractor, specializing in buildings over 60ksqft. But I agree whole system is brutal.

It’s very true is this, the UK has the same issue. I ended up dropping out of my local college because they constantly threw hissy fits when I wouldn’t do things the way they wanted. That thing they wanted was for me to sit through lectures on a different topic to what I was studying, another was that I would not submit work via Facebook. Why did they want me to spend hours sitting through irrelevant lectures? Because they’d double/triple booked the year and wanted to teach other classes.

You nailed it Stan. This obsession with college is nuts. And the indoctrination that is now within our education system...which begins before college.... is downright scary. I say that as a college graduate. When I graduated from high school 55 years ago, many parents were pushing kids to go to college. Yet in my high school we had programs for auto, carpentry, electricians, and metal (machinists). Life was a bit simpler then, but, for example, most of the guys (yes all guys in these programs back then) in the auto program went straight to auto dealerships to begin their careers. My parents, neither of whom went to college, were thankfully not among the parents pushing their kids to college and just let me find my way. Decided I wanted to be a CPA and did that and M&A advice until I retried. But we have needed, do need and always will need tradesmen.....and accountants I hope.😉

Like you said “the concrete is only as good as the ground underneath it”, that’s why they keep coming after kids at the earliest possible time. I watched a video earlier this week where a man in a dress was having preschoolers sing “If you want to be a dragqueen and you know it, shout free palastine”. Dads, look out for your kids.
I dont have an issue with them protesting the war in Israel even taking down the flag to replace with the Palestinian flag. That's just protesting. Same with the Muslum prayer thing. USA allows both. No one was forced to pray at the Muslim prayer circle they chose to be there. When the protest take over a building and damage it, like they did today its no longer a protest its a riot. And should be treated as such.
Makes me sick watching these college kids do this, to replace the American flag with a pro Palestinian flag is total disrespect. Stan you are right on with your comments.

I like how you show the great work of tradesmen putting down a nice cement slab while you talk about some very real topics this is some great high iq entertainment.

I watched a video earlier this week where a man in a dress was having preschoolers sing “If you want to be a dragqueen and you know it, shout free palastine”. Dads, look out for your kids.
I saw that same video. What have we come to?
Don’t know, but I know the destination we’re headed.
Aloha snackbar!!!!!!
Franky know's, as an old co-worker, once told me "ole army tricks"!
Well said
Makes me sick watching these college kids do this, to replace the American flag with a pro Palestinian flag is total disrespect. Stan you are right on with your comments.
Trades are the way. I mentioned to let you know when it comes to an ar the platform you want depends on what you wanna do with it. I am getting mine built for distance on ar 10 platform
Good info. Thanks for pointing that out.
Stan hasn't ever lied man that's scary stuff and stay safe stay armed Stan I'm sure your ruffing some feathers
Can’t lie if you actually believe the delusions you say. He’s starting to sound like a guy that fears the whole damn world. I’m sure he clicked ❤ on Trump’s post that Barron is going to a big time university, though.
it ALL pisses me off... if they want to support another country, they should GO to that country...and stay there...
agreed
Nope, nope, nope…that was the buzzard on the Bugs Bunny Show.
Definitely cult.
Feels like it
@Dirtmonkey getting scarier by the day Stan. Pick you up a few ar15 223-5.56
And ar10 in 308 ammo for both are still half decent price and billions of rounds out there.
Yep yep yep yep purple and red monsters
😂yes!
👍🏻🇺🇸
China does the same thing to American colleges.
I bet they do
Not only will a good tradesmen teach young men the trade, they will also teach them how to be good fathers, husbands, friends and productive members of society that will provide for their families.
So true
It really sad there are so many people who don't know the whole story.
but who really does know the truth? Its all hidden and we only get glimpses
Ryan at Victory would be proud Stan!!!
Ryan is a good dude
Ryan made a video that said he thought some of his fellow conservatives were going a little extreme on the conspiracy theories about the eclipse after Stan made a video about his fears 😂
here to help
Thank you!
I like how you show the great work of tradesmen putting down a nice cement slab while you talk about some very real topics this is some great high iq entertainment.
Chaos by design.
If everyone was happy people wouldn't fight each other.
I guess Iran owns the colleges in a way now... they can do as they please with them unfortunately. That's what it seems from what you're saying as I don't live in usa I don't know any more than that
Thankfully The corruption is getting exposed
@@Dirtmonkey you really believe a measly 100k does anything to our billion dollar endowed universities!? think about it..... now aipac spreads serious dollars...but you dont hear news stories about how they sway politics in this country and openly brag how they have our gov bought.....
