Hive lighting has been making profoto RGB+CCT+Mint COBs for years. Different price point, but solves many of the issues you have here with brightness, dimming control, and color variability
Robhallphoto I’m just now seeing your response to this question (5 months later). Thank you brother. Your reply still helps as I’m in the process of upgrading.🤘🏾
Do you know Godox polarity (ledp120c)? No mention on device, manual, support site or online. Also one asked this on Godox's YT channel ledp120c video, but no answer from Godox??? Positive polarity I guess?
I was debating on this COB is worth getting for photog for gelled rim lighting replacing strobe with gel. In your opinion and experience, Do you feel if this was attached to a strip box and subject was say 3 ft from light that you can get least an f4 from the light at 100%?
When you still lose 3 stops for purple, it really doesn't have a significant benefit over gels (which would lose almost the identical output). Beyond the ease of actually switching to that color. So I definitely get that perspective.
Huh? There was no flash triggered in this video...it's an LED, so constant light source. But at the same time, yes I can do that with flashes because I have a Godox module in my Sekonic L-858d-u.

Those look nuts! Never heard of them until now, thanks for putting on my radar!
Honest Review Really Appreciated.
Best reviewer on youtube, easily.
I wish Aputure would do something in between this and an Arri orbiter
Sokani introduced this type of light “before” Godox, actually. The Sokani X60 RGB specifically. I would love your thoughts on it.
I can tell from looking at it that it will create multi-colored cast shadows at the edges because it has no diffusion/lens over it's chip.

Hmm. I like it for it's flexibility. Is it really needed not sure. I think for now I'll stick with gels.

Can you recommend any gel that resists high temperature to be used with a VL series for example? instead of this light?
Dude, this godox can do for outside, hard light?
First! Had to do it lol
Dang you beat Alex.
Who even am I?
We’re you able to trigger the flash with your Sekonic wirelessly?

unfortunately, when I bought and test it, I founded the output is only 60-65W and not 150W!!! so disapponted!
