  • Do these electronic pest repellers that you just plug into the wall really work to get rid of bugs and rodents? I tested one of them and here is the results.
    Please note, sometimes I do not always receive posted questions from viewers, or I do receive them, but CZcams does not allow me to respond to them. Sometimes I do not receive a question until six months after it was posted. These glitches do not happen often, but they do happen. It is my policy to respond to all questions, so if you do not hear from me in a few of days, then please email your question to me at guyspestsolutions@gmail.com. Please do try to post questions in the comment section first and only use the email address if you don't hear from me. The reason for this is that other folks may have the same question, so it would be nice for them to learn as well. Also, I always answer comments first, so it will be faster for you. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Remember... I will always get back to you.

    Fun Fact. I am a pest controller for Terminix. Despite all of my free chemicals, I still occasionally get a cricket, or two, inside of my garage. They are impossible to locate to pyroid them. For some reason, crickets love the smell of molasses.
    The Lure.
    I just set out a water glass with oiled inside walls and an ounce of molasses mixed in 4-6 ounces of warm water.
    Jimminy Cricket hops in but can't never hop out alive.

I do not spray anything around my house structure bc we have a lot of natural creatures in the food chain that take care of things for us up here, like gecko’s and small birds. We’re very lucky !!

    I was listening to my scanner when my neighbor's name came up .stolen can of corn ...she has a chain around her refrigerator ...later she was dead ..then they wanted me to move in this apt. It's a handicap village... OK so I did . Immediately I started feeling sick and when I turned on the shortwave I heard a gurge gurge gurge sound ...I knew I was being bombarded by some dirty frequency ...ASU blew me off. APS said we will be right over ...so the power company sent a man. He brought his short wave . We turned off the power ...nothing ...went to the neighbors ....it stopped ...the next door neighbors relatives said they could have all her stuff so they plugged in the pest repeller next to my head by the couch ..in their kitchen ... So...it kills people ? Maybe ? This woman went completely mad and died with no explanation .... I conclude the worst ... I have an IQ 5 points below Einstein and I don't miss much ... Pest repellers cause harm and death

    As a human, if I hear a disturbing noise, I will initially go toward the noise to check it out for a while and find out what it is, however annoying. Then, I will decide that it is agitating and go away from it. My point is that MAYBE bugs are the same way. What do you think about repeating the experiment for a LONGER DURATION. Maybe even for a whole day. Thanks so much.

    • @GuysPestSolutions
      @GuysPestSolutions  Před 8 měsíci +2

      I suppose it couldn't hurt to do a longer test, and I actually did give some thought to that initially. The reason I didn't do it was because insects do not possess the same brain functions as humans, and some other mammals. In other words, they really do not have the ability to think about what they are doing. That is why, when you turn on the light, a cockroach may immediately run away. It is not going to take the time to try and figure out if it is in danger or not. This is known as a startle response. So, when an insect is subjected to something that they find irritating, we would expect them to react instinctively to it because they do not have the ability to reason the way that we do. The only thing they know is how to survive. They instinctively know to eat, seek shelter, multiply, and run from danger. All of this is done without any thought whatsoever. That being said, one could argue that perhaps it takes a lot of time before the insect may perceive whatever sort of irritation is being introduced. For that reason, it could make sense to test these things for a longer duration, so I will give that some thought. Thank you so much for the suggestion. Very much appreciated. Be well my friend.

    • @aymanziyadeh6366
      @aymanziyadeh6366 Před 8 měsíci

      @@GuysPestSolutions Thanks. Perhaps it takes time for bugs to perceive an irritation as you suggested one could argue. But I will take this to the next level and say perhaps because the irritation is not chemical or visual and since sound irritation is perhaps rare for insects, perhaps it takes more time to perceive it. I have these Bell and Howell Ultrasonic Pest Repellers all over in my basement and I am now considering throwing them away but a longer test would solidify my decision.

      @GuysPestSolutions  Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@aymanziyadeh6366 I will definitely give that some thought. Maybe next year. I have everything on hold right now getting ready for Christmas. I will be restarting operations in January, but a lot of people want me to address bed bugs, so I guess I better to it. I am not looking forward to it because bed bugs are a complicated subject and it is going to take a long time to produce those videos. Bed bugs are a huge problem now in the world and there are no really good videos out there on the subject. So, I am going to do a comprehensive video on how to treat them and another video on how to avoid getting them in the first place. I will try to do some more testing on the pest repellers after that. Be well my friend.

    What about the Dbzon one? It says you have to buy these because the other ones don’t work and there’s a lot of reviews saying they work but they’re expensive and I don’t want to buy it if it doesn’t work.

    • @GuysPestSolutions
      @GuysPestSolutions  Před 3 měsíci

      I'm sorry for the delay. I had to be away for the last 3 days and I was not able to answer any questions. The truth is that I have not tested every brand of bug repeller on the market and I have not tested this one. An old saying comes to mind though. "A fool and his money are soon parted." To the best of my knowledge all of these devices are pretty much snake oil. The reviews sound great, but they are done by homeowners who really want the devices to work and who don't want to feel foolish for trying them. There have been much more scientific studies done on these devices than I did, but the results were essentially the same as mine. In a laboratory setting, some devices worked for a short time, but would usually fail miserably in actual real life situations in the field. Different insects and mammals respond to different frequencies, so these devices may have a very limited effect for one species for a brief period of time, but will not work at all on other species. Just like my somewhat unscientific demonstration, the actual studies that were done by entomologists found that none of the devices tested were effective in controlling pests. So, I would say that the claims for these devices are seriously exaggerated and those claims have been conclusively busted. In my opinion, based on studies and experience, this technology simply does not work, regardless of the manufacturer. Therefore, I recommend that you keep your money in your wallet.
      I hope that helps. Be well my friend.

    You don’t need to buy these you can get repellers free on CZcams!
    I had a mouse in the house, and I put the rodent repeller on at high value with a remote speaker where I saw him and I think there’s a 50-50 chance it got rid of him.
    I did find a three-quarter eaten bag of peanuts, and a nest nearby under my dishwasher, both of which I removed so I wasn’t sure, what drove him away.
    I just can’t see killing these guys because they are God’s creatures too and they are so cute…

    Have you ever used the bioadvance termit killer with the sprayer attachment ?

    • @GuysPestSolutions
      @GuysPestSolutions  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I am very familiar with that product. I do not recommend it for termites. If you have subterranean termites, then you can use the BioAdvanced granules. They are not the same as the liquid. I will give you a link to my video on it. For the granules to work you need to have dirt around most of the house and that dirt needs to be porous enough to allow water to seep into the ground fairly quickly. To find out if the dirt around your house is porous enough, just dig a small hole next to the house that is about 4 inches deep, 8 inches long, and just the width of the shovel. Fill the hole with water and watch to see how fast it drains down into the ground. If it seeps into the ground fairly quickly, then the granules should work just fine. However, if it just kind of sits there, then the granules would not be a good choice, and you should consider trenching. If it turns out that you need to trench, then please watch my video on how to do that correctly. Trenching is a lot more work, but it only costs about $100 to do an average size home, and it lasts 5 to 10 years. Most people can trench an entire house in one day, but you can take up to a month to get it done, and you can literally do just 10 feet at a time.
      Make sure that you buy the correct granules. You need the ones that have imidacloprid as the active ingredient. A lot of the Home Depot and Lowes stores no longer sell the correct granules, but you can get them from Amazon. I will give you a link to them.
      If you do not have an active infestation already, you may want to also consider using monitoring stations around your home. I use both the granules and the monitoring stations. I will give you a link to my video on how to make them for under 50 cents each. I put them around my entire house for less than $25.
      I hope that helps. Be well my friend.
