I don't play Ball, so i can't comment on their play but the fact alone they picked up Mercy from spawn makes me wishing them a fast and easy climb out of bronze ❤
As a Ball main, it's always a good thing to help get Mercy back faster
The main reason people hold close in bronze is because there is always "That guy" who pushes up. You either support them and all hold close, or they just die and your 4v5 from the start.
When ball went back to taxi mercy, it actually warmed my heart. So good to see considerate team mates :)
I've been playing Lucio lately, QP, and I've been waiting for team members to respawn or going back for them if it's only a few seconds until spawn.
Honestly, in this rank, it feels good to see someone with a brain on to think about things, most are just running on pure instinct like dogs after a red rag. Aren't even conscious enough to notice they are being healed left alone look around and see where the healers are at 😩
I definitely think they will climb. They are aware of situations around them. From noticing the Mercy needs a taxi, to backing out at decent times a lot of the time, once they learn how to react in the situations they notice I bet we see them significantly climb.
Also, never underestimate how much earning the love of your supports will do for you ♥
I think one big reason people hold on point on numbani is because the time to kill in lower ranks is so much higher that they may take the entire point or at least 2 ticks before anyone has even died yet.
Does anyone else think that he would be an amazing coach for new/low elo players. As a bronze player myself I find his videos very informative, easy to understand, and fun to watch. He should definitely do a bronze coaching series

Personally I feel his feedback is harsh for content, but I'd be worried about players taking it too harshly

I feel what yall are saying, I dont think they're mean or anything. Flats, jay3, emongg, are the people keeping the game alive. But I think constructive criticism and critique are 2 different things. And they all do it for content, which I love. But coaching wise its be very different
I love seeing people in chat just pretty much reciting back what emongg just said word for word thinking theyre the ones that came up with it. Some people actually got main character complex lmao

probably the weakest part of his ball is the random shield usage off cooldown ... and fighting a turret form bastion, but everything else was pretty well done especially in comparison to quite a bit of low level hammond players, like the ones that just walk around and use their guns.
I know this ball player watches Chazm because he holds on his grapples as much as possible, which is fine, but just be careful when overextending your welcome when surrounded by enemies
1:05 Ball is one of the best spawn room destroyers. You can get much more coverage much faster with some well-placed piledrivers.
the gameplay was actually quite good, def not bronze! and i love them going back to taxi the mercy it was so sweet
i do this even on cassidy, it's frustrating when you're playing mercy and nobody is close enough so you have to walk

As a Ball main in high masters/nearly GM, this dude plays VERY solidly. He should try mouse/keyboard, he’d be a beast with that.
One of his biggest issues is when he uses grapple to retreat, he doesn't cut out wide enough and doesn't generate fireball, yeah that habit will get you pummeled.
@@josephdavis3472 Yeah I’ve learned a good rule of thumb is to try and get the longest grapple possible. Preferably on a corner or in the middle of a column so you can wrap around it in circles.
Superb Ball skills if you ask me. Always good to go back and get the Mercy.

I’d say for a ball he’s probably mid gold but he’d be plat on console. Only issue is hard counters for ball like Mei and bastion in low ranks which can keep him back
One thing you can work on is trying to bait out sleep dart before you pile drive. Once you start to climb Ana’s will hit their sleep darts and it’s pretty hard to play around at first. But I like to bait it out (you will learn how to as you keep playing) and then go for the Ana and try to get the kill. GOOD LUCK 🫡 (AND DONT GIVE UP WHEN SOMBRAS TRY TO RUIN YOUR FUN!!)
i wish be that good ball in mystery heroes, i can "defend myself" with other tanks, but i can not with ball and doom

This ball is not bronze. Even if he spends a little time in silver, he’ll be gold in no time.
As ball, your shield generator should be a last resort, it's your get out of jail free card.
I use it when Im at critical hp or around 100 hp

I found Emongg through Flats. I now prefer Emongg over Flats as Emongg is more positive and Flats is more riding peiple on replays. Both streamers make that clear when submitting, so people are educated about it when submitting. And all 3 of us are Massholes, so I get the vibe of both guys, it feels like home. :)

I'm silver-gold and he only made a few decisions I wouldn't make so I think he'll be able to get to about my level at least. Mainly where he chooses to fight, I would have been on either side instead of under the overpass at last, and knowing when to get out. Ball is all about using things at the right time and reading the fight. I knew when a fight was bad or he had to get out and while normally he left, taking a route I probably would, there were times he didn't or went a way that led to him being lower health. Overall good gameplay though and I like that he even knew ball on first is pretty bad and went with something else. Ball can be done, but your team overextends to help you and if anyone sneaks past then you probably lose the point to the team fight that follows

He does these all the time! You can basically submit them twice per season (once per major patch), so I'm sure you'll get a submittable game soon. New patch was days ago, you've got forever
For sure not bronze...I would say the only thing keeping him in bronze is having bronze teammates who don't know how to play with a ball.
Mercy trying to be constantly attached instead of staying with the DPS is bronze as can be.

@@NegativeZennthe other commenter was saying the mercy's mistake was not being with the dps, so my question was meant to draw attention to the fact that not investing a ton of resources in the dps may sometimes be 100% the right decision. this doesn't have anything to do with what the person was doing while pocketing their chosen target.

18:15 Is any of that timing explained when you start your competitive games or do you have to find out by word of mouth like this? I've been playing since a couple months after OW1, non competitive, and I've never known that. I just knew the 1 min mark was a threshold for something.
no, it's not explicitly explained anywhere in the game itself. I didn't understand anything about how the rounds worked in overwatch 1 for a good LONG while until someone explained it to me lol
I'm a ball player on pc with controller. I've played console my whole life, so the recent switch to mouse and keyboard is hard. It feels so unnatural
Try using a controller with gyro, you can set it up to aim with the gyro emulating a mouse so you better control than with joystick alone, and also consider flick stick.

Id say low gold very high silver, but he can reach higher
I use controller cause of nerve damage easier to hold and not hurt as mich
Controller movement is superior on all heroes, you can strafe diagonally and it feels as if you're ice skating.

Man, numbani defense is SO annoying when you have a team that refuses to use high ground... And I understand why this person would think controller would be good for wrecking ball... but once you get used to wrecking ball on mouse and keyboard, it's SO much better. He'd climb if he did that.
Playing on controller when you have a keyboard and mouse is just so fucking ridiculous. It’s like driving a Lamborghini with a brick under the gas pedal and all the driving assists turned off, no AC, and no radio…. Like you could, but why? Wtf?
because some people prefer using controllers. it's not really very complex. just because it's not the choice you would make doesn't mean it's the wrong one. it's just a preference.
Yeah shouldn't be in bronze cuz bronze means you don't understand your abilities, but he's missing some target priority here and not flanking a lot, but yeah this game is an ego vod for sure, cuz thier enemies are literal idiots, the fact that a bastion is being shot at from ball for 10 straight seconds with no reaction says it all
