I can't express how much I love this version
I hear You!
Indeed
Amazing. Jerry is rocked out of his mind and plays every chord change and lyric perfectly. He doesn't even have his eyes open.
Loaned Skeleton and Roses to my very good jazz trombone sensei (he asked cuz he was curious and knew nothing of them) and his response was, “That guy plays the chords.” 🙏
Bro is on auto pilot
It hurt Jerry to remember lyrics. He's got a teleprompter running behind his eyes there.
I miss this so much
Ladies n Gentlemen
The Grateful Dead.
This is my favourite dire wolf
There are so many better versions of DW than this one. Jerry’s gone here. Timing’s totally off. Very sad
He's gone, man the Dead was the best!
JG absolutely nailed it!!! Channeled every great musician from all times on this one.
I spent the day at Winterland Productions with Bill Graham and my tour buddy Prunevine (who worked for BGP and the Keystone at that time). We lost track of time so Bill turned us on to comp. tickets to this nights show. He also turned me on to 13 BGP concert posters that I still have. So cool to party with and have a tour of the place from the man himself. That T-shirt factory was an amazing place. "What a Long Strange Trip it's Been"
I remember being at a party at umass Amherst And I met this awesome girl
We were grooving to this song
And 1 of my friends Decided that I shouldn't be sleeping around and Chase her away
Good times

Let's buy a loaf of bread and some kraft slices. Sell a few grilled cheeses and we're as good as in! 🙃

Somehow Jerry pulls it off but it looks painful by his facial expressions. I listen to some mid 80's shows because there's some great music there, but I'd rather watch videos from the early 70's or '89 to see Jerry look happy.
same feeling here :(
not sure if he was realy happy in 90's
Heroin, it's the heroin.
70-74 were the best .. young energy new tunes small scene
I can assure you he wasn't feeling pain he was as comfortably numb as could be.
Thanks ✌️
During the solo, it appears as if Jerry is listening intently...and then you realize, he's playing the solo. :) Don't murder me...
I had a music teacher who would say, "don't think, PLAY". But I've never met one who said "Don't LISTEN"
Fucking awesome! Thanks
Just the Best
Jerry is like " i gotta rip this out"... Has to happen and it did...magic

Although they're a little before my time, I love this music and bands like Creedence Clearwater Revival. Late 60's and early 70's, really great music.
So serious
It's tough for me to watch him like this. Can't get into it.
its actually quite good! jerry went out with a bang!
He is ripping it!
Captain Trips picking it murky and dirty
Let us stop murder

Jerry F*cking Garcia !!!!
No.better
Jerry Garcia is a champion for all the down trodden
Why would anyone invite a 600 pound prehistoric wolf into their house?
You really think you can keep it out? Might as well be polite

Lol dude I’m imagining a wolf, and then imagining a SIX HUNDRED POUNDS DIRE WOLF 🐺
That would be unbelievably terrifying!
early 80s heroin jerry. one of better jerrys to listen to.

@@susandevore3706 that's how he sadly passed away
@@susandevore3706 😂
Ol bobby looks to be far from sober as well, a little buger sugar!
@Dom Rapjak well it was a combo of H and bad living that lead to his heart attack
See you later....
Lol
So sad they got dubbed by drugs ..all of them ..so talented
When I was 17-years old in High School in Berkeley, St. Mary's HS, my religion teacher's first assignment for class was to attend the Grateful Dead concert at Winterland. It was probably 1973. My friend Tim and I went together. We sat through the first 30 to 45-minutes of the show and decided "this band is super boring!" so we left! We preferred The Who, Led Zeppelin, ELP and the real rock bands.
