    The added detail work you put into every one of your projects really makes them look sharp.

    I like how Rob says *aaaaTEMPting* like there is a huge amount of uncertainty and we don't all know that car is going to be an absolute stunner when he's done with it!
    Great job, as always! I like the "restoration plus" method, I think it does add a nice little touch.

  • @thatsdavid2u
    @thatsdavid2u Před 5 lety +3

    I googled that car...Surprised to find out it was built in the 60's! VERY futuristic design for that era! Nice job!

  • @caesarillion
    @caesarillion Před 5 lety +1

    It's gorgeous and thanks but I'd love to see it roll and have it's performance measured. The new stuff rolls like magic and oldies too if axles are straight. That's a big part of the fun with these. They roll so well. Thanks again, Paul in Thailand

    I have watched few restoration which you did before and I think that you are always bringing back the elegance of the old cars we used to play with as kids... Keep up the good work.

      Is that the car from _Hardcastle & McCormick_ ? I thought so too, but I couldn't remember the name of it (and if I searched it I'd just end up going down the wiki hole and waste the rest of the afternoon reminiscing about '80s cop shows :).

    Smashing job Rob. I believe this was a car I had and painted it black, with a small Testor's paint brush. What the hell I was 10. Never did that again.😑👍🏻👍🏻

    Awesome! I thought I'd share a tip I'd heard on another car channel (I forget which) to stop the the wires on the brush wheel from coming off: all you do is run some superglue around the round base of the brush to set them in. I've not had a chance to try it but it can't hurt to give it a go. :)

    Regarding the wire wheels I heard somewhere that if you bung some superglue around the rim it helps prevent quite so much flying off in every direction, Would have been cool to have seen it painted in green like the real car I'm not a big fan of the orange.

    Your paint should be 50/50 with thinner. Consistency like milk. More thin coats rather than a few thick ones.
    It will provide a much smother finish and spray a lot better.
    This advice is good. Take it.
    You will not regret it.
