I cannot believe it, Tug takes possibly the biggest character difference in SL and makes it fit within the story. Tug, I salute you
It's pretty weird seeing Johnny Cu- Oh, sorry, "Steamer" being a good guy who just wants to make friends. But you did a great job editing this so that it works. Also, I know yhe static bars at 7:35 were probably there from these being old clips, but for some reason I love it, makes these episodes feel like actual lost media.
Yeah, it's pretty remarkable.

Weird how Sea Rogue became a villain in Salty's Lighthouse, and Johnny Cuba became the good guy. Maybe the writers of the show thought since Sea Rogue looks like an evil pirate, they instantly wrote him as such. I'm telling you, the choices get more and more confusing.
1:48 - I like this reason behind Zebedee being called ZeeBee in S.L.
So, Zebedee still has his original name as said by Starr, but everyone calls him Zeebee.
We can handwave it by saying its his nickname I guess
maybe not "Zeebee", but rather "Z.B."
I love how he explained the discrepancy in a single line of dialogue. It's simple and believable. No long-winded explanation or anything, just a small innocuous detail that's cool.
The more of these that come out, the more eager I am for the proper TUGS series to get that American dub completed. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy seeing these too, every day they come out I make sure I don't miss them, but I think I speak for all TUGS fans when I say having the full series dubbed with American voices [true to the show's setting in America] would be awesome.
Johnny Cuba just wanting friends is so cursed.
Often found it weird that they didn’t go for a “stand up to bullies” moral with Johnny Cuba being less of a gangster and more of a big guy who makes Zeebee get all the high grade coal he wants.
Hercules stepping could be less him making a citizens arrest and him getting Cuba to back off his friend.

I actshully didn't mind the changes to Jonny Cuba and I understand why they changed him. I also liked how Zebadee was in chrarictor sort of. Cool edit. hope you have a great day!
That was impressive how you pulled this one off. I find it unbelievable that you're hiding the fact that the Stars and Zeros were friends in Salty's Lighthouse and even went as far as editing Zeebee's sentence where he says "Captain sent everyone out to do more work." Instead of "Captain Star sent everyone out to do more work." It also was neat how you had it be mentioned that canonically, his name is Zebedee, but he goes by Zeebee for short.

Sea Rogue and Johnny Cuba basically switched personalities in Salty's Lighthouse.
This more than any other episode was just mind boggling to watch, just such a jarring recontextualization of those scenes...
I love how they in-universe improvised the error in Zebedee’s name in Salty’s Lighthouse to be shortened to the name he was given because it’s so damn ridiculous of a change lol
I like to think that in this cannon, steamer was called Johnny cuba and was more like his tug’s personality, even though he changed his ways, he lost all his evil friends for going to the good side.
I think I prefer the Narrator in this version then the regular one

I do like how you gave an in-joke explanation on why Zebedee was called Zee Bee in Salty's Lighthouse. The name really reminds a lot of the Sea Bees of the US Navy. I know a couple Sea Bees actually. With how similar the two names are, I think I can write a story using those. The Zebedee plot line is the better one in this edit. Johnny Cuba being a lonely freighter is a good story idea, it was just executed so poorly. Actually, it's a story idea better suited for Theodore Tugboat.

1:47 - 1:50, so that's why Zebedee is called "Zee Bee" (or is it spelt "Z.B."?); it's just his own nickname. :)
Mind you, I find it weird how the Coast Guard and Davy Jones (a.k.a the Coast Guard Messenger) are both called "Cappy" when they are technically two different small vessels about the same size. Thinking about it, maybe one of them is "Cappy the 1st", and the other "Cappy the 2nd" - if you take my meaning.
They were meant to be a single character in Salty's Lighthouse.
I think they didn't know they were separate boats which is fair, they are very minor characters
Maybe Richard browning or someone could have redubbed over “ steamer’s “ dialouge to make this more like the original story.

Out of all the episodes so far, this is probably the most butchered. Though it did have a good message and I think Zebedee's voice fits rather well.
