How to Fix "The DNS Server Isn't Responding" Error in Windows 10

- In this video I will explain what the error "The DNS Server Isn't Responding" actually means and how to fix it. I will show you how to fully diagnose your errors and then give you a step by step method to move onto the OpenDNS server or the Google DNS server. In addition I will provide a highly simplified explanation of what a DNS server actually is and therefore what the problem you are having actually is.
Hopefully if you follow all of these tips you will be able to get your internet back on and surf the web again!
How to Reset DNS Settings
ipconfig /flushdns - Enter
ipconfig /registerdns - Enter
ipconfig /release - Enter
ipconfig /renew - Enter
netsh winsock reset - Enter
Restart computer

Funny thing is that chances are if you have this problem, you can't watch this video because you have no Internet access.
Usually it only affects one device
@@TheCompleteGuide1 it would affect every device connected to the router since your router likely gives out the same dns address.
You can use data
@@ResidentGoodV I assume you mean hotspot. Most Windows 10 devices so not have a SIM slot to use data. But yes you can watch from your phone, which likely does not run on Windows 10.

Looks like the anti-virus products are making this happen. Everything was going splendid before I downloaded them...It's highly annoying! I appreciate you going the extra mile and explaining why this happens. It's truly the worst thing...especially when your working online and you got an assignment due in less than a minute. You might also add to your list to check if proxy server is turned on when you don't use one. Mine was somehow turned on and it took me 4 hours to find it, but turning it off, I was connected to the internet again.
So how do you find the proxy server
