I just wonder why he is not in Megadeth. It would give the band its old absolute kick. Anyway Ohm is the best Jazz/Fusion band ever so it's the same though.
Back in 2004, Poland and/or his management and attorney filed a lawsuit against Mustaine regarding the use of the three "Rust In Peace" demos on the album's reissue without Chris's permission. This is why Poland is not in the band.
@@AUBCodeII I don't think that's the reason. Poland was recruited to record "The system was failed" after that lawsuit. Same case for Ellefson who also filed a lawsuit against Dave and rejoined the band later.
I mean, all those effects are fun to play with, but it's just so overdone. What you need is good tone plugged straight into your amp with the ability to roll back your guitar's volume knob for clean tone. MAYBE an occasional delay or chorus for certain guitar parts that call for it. You can go as crazy with all that as you got time and money. I think it's mostly a waste.
Your style; plenty of other great guitarists doing exactly that. But other people have their own style. You don’t “need” shit… Dozens of “fender strat straight into amp, add some gain and done” guitarists out there, most sound just like any other. Chris Poland though is recognizable 1 in a million. Has this synth flavor to it & his fans love it.
actually with an HX Stomp you can configure any mic amp speaker effects combination you don't even need an amp let alone some out dated obsolete rack equipment, but it is quite an education to see how an artist is getting the sound in their head
