I worked in that milking parlor and they fed me and my crew at that table like we were family. I learned more and my life was guided inspired and influenced more by this family during the short time I spent with them than I can possibly express in a video comment. If someone wants to know what Texans are, have them spend a week with the Boening family. I’m proud to have known them.

I’m a little disappointed, I saw the video on Facebook regarding the year 1946 post WWII and I was very interested in that story, much like myself others were interested in that specific story and wanted to hear more. Others asked for the video and were given the link to this video here but that story isn’t in the video… I would love to hear that full story please if it can be posted❤️
One of the best investments in a 10:27 minute chunk of time I’ve made in months…flight postponed today, making my 500 mile round trip (in Alaskan snow/ice to take family to airport) start at 0430 tomorrow instead..you just make it work..daily…What an inspiration this family is..and the best part is, they don’t even realize it, I’d imagine..
Awesome ! My grandparents raised 16 kids in Dicken’s county and I grew up in Tahoka with my dad being a crop duster …. It’s good to see clips on U tube that reminds me of my heritage… thanks !!!

By the time farm kids are old enough to do most chores they're bored with them. To keep them interested you have to always be pushing the envelope a little past their ability. That way they keep coming back to learn more and more until you can turn them loose.
You just made it work! That's the difference between then and now. I'm so glad I grew up in the, "you just made it work" generation. Now a days when it gets rough it seems you just quit.
Pretty much how it works. Too many folks just got used to stand around with their hands out. My mom and pop raised 6 kids without any handouts. We kids got by with much less and were happy with it. We didn't know any different. And it made us stronger. Merry Christmas to ALL. LGB!!
