it will succeed, if they do their best like in pgr
YES IT WILL!
@@stefhonsmith6547 yes it can
Thank you so much for the opportunity Stix! Can’t wait for all of us to thrive in wuthering waves 👀🔥
You're welcome! Thank you for being a part of the collab! It's an honor working with so many talented creators!
Thanks for having me on Bro! 😁👍🏽
Thank you so much for being a part of the massive undertaking!
SUCCESS TRAIN HERE WE GO!
Let's go! Best Gacha 2024 incoming!
Thanks for featuring me!
Sorry my mic quality was bad- I'm still getting used to this online stuff. Yes, me boomer. I'll find a way to get the mic sounding better through discord, I swear! lol
Also, I misspoke at one point; "I feel like Genshin will fill that niche" → "I feel like Wuthering Waves will fill that niche"
haha absolutely no problem. I guarantee you most people know what you meant! It was a pleasure having you here!
Thanks for having me 🫡🫶🏻
An absolute pleasure, man! Thank you for being a part of this!
WW will be just fine. No Genshin "Killer" but might take some of the frustrated GI players in. My biggest concern is content wise. Genshin gets a update every 6 weeks. If WW can somehow keep up a simular routine they are good to go.
They launching with 3 endgames, I'm happy for sure
@@deeptobhattacharyya3249to be specific it has 2 endgame modes the third one "hologram" is one time challenge only
Thanks for having me bro!
Appreciate you being here!
Thank you for this Stix! It’s great to hear everyone’s opinions and perspectives ! I’m so excited for Wuthering Waves!
Yessss!! Thank you so much for being a part of it! :D
Such a fun video. Thanks for gathering their inputs Stix!
Is that a question? Because the answer is YES
haha yessss!
I'm just here for Yinlin and any future mommy characters. 😃
shhhh don't let Jiyan lovers hear that
Well, they just announced Changli.
Pleasure having me on big dawg! Looking forward to what fun WuWa brings to the table! :D
Knowing WuWa is developed by Kuro, we can expect tons of skins for these characters! I can't wait tbh.
The skins are gonna be FIRE
I revisited PRG this week and yeah those WuWa skins will be nice!
@@DubExpLike imagine, they make Rovers strong, and free, but for intensive, they made fire skins for Rovers to balance it out 🔥🔥🔥
But bro HI3 has way tooo many skins and GI has close to none so it depends 🙂
@@ethereal1414 That's Mihoyo they don't have Ears.
YES YES YES SUCCESS! what gave me the actual GREEN CHECK that it WILL succeed! is them LISTENING to their community!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone knows it will be a success, it's just a matter of to what degree. I don't see it ever being as popular as Genshin but that's also an extraordinarily high bar to compete with. If it could get even a third of the player count it'll still be huge
Going from PGR's insanely fun orb system to a basic skill cooldown system somehow feels really bad to me. Now release will be different from CBT1 which I was happily a part of so I'm holding off on any actual judgements till release.
People are doubting it, but I actually think WuWa will match Genshin/HSR in revenue for the first month - and maybe even the month after.
well its not just a basic cooldown as lingyang for example dosent have cooldowns instead he is combo based like say fu hua from honkai impact in which her skill has no cooldown but pressing it at different times does different moves. also the orb system translates horrible to keyboard/mouse imo and is far more niche of a system
Wuthering Waves will be the best thing to happen to Genshin/Genshin players to date. Mark my words, we will be seeing significant changes to QoL in Genshin soon after WW releases.
I'm convinced the recent QoL changes (throughout Fontaine, v4.0+) happened SOLELY because of the existance of WW. HoYo definitely knew WW was in the works long before we did.
Even if it "fails" people are still gonna play it. If it succeeds then that's even better. Love eating my sweet delicious popcorn pre game release, wuthering waves is going to be so fun. Hope Kuro keeps this up and great video! Good luck to all my waifu and husbando enjoyers, may the RNG gods bless you when pulling xd
We will see once honeymoon phase wears off and first post patches roll out ,I want it to succeed because it means more competition which always benefits the players.
Honeymoon period doesnt matter, look at hsr, the playerbase dropped but it makes more money per banner than genshin
I 200% think that wuthering waves succeed. Another great video man, blessing me with the 30 minutes over here
Awww thanks man!! Appreciate the kind words AND watching the video!
HEYYY THATS MEEEEEE ❤❤❤
Thanks for being a part of the video, man!!
Wuthering Waves will succeed if Not I will Make it lmao 🤣🤣🤣
HECK YEAH MAN!
Sounds like something Natsu would say! XD
I love the idea of Natsu being a Gamer! 😂
30:07 Bro LOCKED IN lmao 😂
lmao
i prefer counting the eggs after it hatched approach. game launch, play, get the feel and then finally decide whether to fully commit or not.
It'll definitely be successful. They're taking a winning formula, but giving it their own identity.
Jesus, Rubee can yap.
it will not succeed, it is already a success
very true, it's doing very well and the number of criticisms it receives are far outweighed by its praises
not on PS4 or PS5, there is no controller support on PC as I have heard, and its not like a game you can play it with mouse and keyboard, ITS an active action game just like Genshin, when I start playing Genshin when it first lunched I played it on my laptop, but when I find out there is no key control or even a controller support I drop it and download it on my PS4 and play it there, there next update genshin does was adding a controller and keyboard control so I went back and play Genshin on my laptop ever since, but when I got my PS5 I stopped playing Genshin on my laptop and only play it on my PS5 because of the 4k res, anyhow the point is, if this game want to be a success it need to have a controller support on PC and to be on PS5 or Xbox to gain more players.
Also Genshin or Star Rail both games have an excellent story with great sound track and voice acting and that is a KEY ROLE for their continuation and been on top chart every month as a gatcha game, am worried Wuthering waves will be like Tower of Fantasy who have a good game play and good world to explore but THATS it but nothing to keep players hooked.
in terms of story, don't Worry as WuWa has a very good story 1.0 version than the 1.0 version starter stories of hsr and Genshin.
Because a lot of kids and bots of Genshin spreading in the comments always compares the Genshin's 3 Years of Accumulated Story to the Starter Story 1.0 of Wuthering Waves. So my advice to those kids is just to try it out and see the progress of the story up to the next versions as it will just be better and better as time progresses.
Stix, have you check the Wuthering Waves you channel comments? people from the Hyoverse are starting to hate this game
Yeah, so all we can do is continue to spread hype and positivity!
@Hacker-dv9ev yes, I seen some people saying "GENSHIN IS BETTER THEN WUW"
I think it'll be a mix of both. I'm quite excited for it myself because the QOL changes made to traveling in open world gacha's, artifact grinding, leveling, but also the combat.
WuWa will be successful, but I think the core target audience in terms of gameplay and aesthetic is different than Genshin and other games. I honestly think WuWa is gonna hook casuals rn, and further down the line target a more mature audience because of the gritty aesthetic and in depth combat that requires you to think a little.
I think a large number of people will play and stay, but the sales won't be as great as Genshin (for now) because Hoyo has great character designs that are very...spicy, yet makes sense for the characters lifestyle/persona, and the characters are also iconic in the pop culture landscape. There are people who recognize Raiden Shogun and don't even play the game. Kuro's designs are also great, but less spicy (compared to Genshin) and that hurts sales. We have seen Yinlin's updated design and it shows of her cleavage a lot more from the older design. I think if Kuro can find a balance between a design that is spicy, but also makes sense for the character's lifestyle/persona, their sales are going to be steady and maybe iconic!
Genshin has the benefit of coming out during c0v1d where nobody was doing anything, attracting people to the game who otherwise wouldn't be playing, but also incredible marketing and music - the music does alot of the heavy listening along with the character collecting. The music from a neo-neo classical perspective is world class, no debate. WuWa's music will be good, but I don't think it'll have the scope that Genshin's music does
Me personally,
I think wuwa already is a "sucess" due to all the actions mihoyo is taking in regards to creators
Like the response is pretty drastic
And you don't even know everything that's going on. I, alone, have gotten multiple emails and DMs from HoYo staff that haven't been discussed by any creator online.
@@Stixxy what?
@@Stixxythey sent you threats too? Dang how low can they be
@@johnkennethaninon6434 I think calling it a treat is a stretch bro 😂
But yeah hoyo being kinda scummy
YES it will inevitably gonna succeed as for why they've Already learned from PGR and now they know how to take action's that can satisfy the player base , can't wait to play game❤🎉
Cant wait to stream Wuthering Waves and become great friends with people in the community. I hope we all can come together and have a blast! See you all on the 22nd!
Heck yeah man!! The community so far has been great!
Good video stix
Thank you so much for watching!!
It will succeed on its own but it wont kill Genshin. I'm playing both and hoping for a healthy competition, its a win-win for us :D
Got a new haircut,it is firee bro 🔥
Thank you! My hairdresser does a fantastic job!
I hope it does really well. I just feel if the endgame farmable/repeatable content is too hard people will burn out especially with the 6 week patch cycle. Hopefully they have events and stagger stuff so every 2 or 3 weeks there is something new to get out of the monotonous grind.
Thanks!
Thank you for the $2 man! Appreciate it! Who're you pulling for in WuWa?
Very interested not gonna lie
This would be a short yes or no vid and ofc it will and probably harder than genshin
It would be interesting to revisit videos like this with all the exact same people a year or two later.
How many of them will still be invested in it? Did it develop as hoped? What cultural impact did it have? Would they consider it success in hindsight?
I think 30M pre-registration is crazy good
guitarrock missing here sad but this was gud video love to see the cc collab here
My main draw with WW was combat as I find GI combat to be kind of dull after a while/ not much to it. I also tried TOF but I felt the overall gameplay a bit clunky which was a let down also QOL that should've been/ asked by community many many time. offered WW in comparison to only GI's a massive win. I'm not sure how far it'll go but taking feedback from community & implementing it seems a right direction/a hope for things to change for now.
Does this have controller support for mobile? If so, this will be a hit.
I think WUWA is definitely going to be a success but success to a scales of genshin I dont think so.
Thanks! If we want Genshin to get better, we should play both, it needs competition
Thank you for the $2! I completely agree! Competition breeds innovation!
Its gonna be a success, I was waiting for project bbq then they went full on being a soulslike game which is arad chronicles which is not bad but I wish they'll go back where you play multiple characters. But that's why I'll be playing WuWa since the vibe is similar.
Wait for 3-4 months at least. Trends will be visible. Currently i see only reasons to believe in a limited success. Amount of over exhilarating, super optimistic, copium induced comments is worrying.
Vanguard Sound, Haloweak, Ghost Final, etc. They are well known for creating great BGM for PGR I hope they're involve in the BGM production
I think it is gonna take a bit for Wuthering Waves to truly sink or swim. Right now a lot of info is based on CBTs while the real barometer in my mind for a game like this is how they handle their first full patch cycle (I.E. 1.x). 1.0 is going to have its limits for sure, but that is to be expected. That said, while it is going to give competition to certain games, I doubt it will be enough (at least at first) to be that significant unless there is a mass exodus or something.
it give competition regardless though even if at first
What is the cheap phone that can run the game?
We're all here to enjoy it, of course it will succeed.
As much as im excited for WuWa,i hope the console release must come sooner lol my ps buddies are dying to try this game 😅
Wuthering waves available in India?
The question is not whether the game will succeed or not rather by what margin
WuWa easily targets Genshin’s more hardcore player base. It might as well be the end game stand-in that these players wanted but Genshin never gave.
Can you turn off the skill animation?
Tower Of Fantasy is a success, purely judged by what they earn each month.
So if ToF can do it I'm fairly confident that WuWa can do it, too.
that's true. Tower of Fantasy pretty decent and WuWa much better. It will have a very high level of success
Nice hair cut
I think it’ll be a successful game for at least the first few months, and depending on how well the game is managed it could be a huge success for years. That said, the more I hear about Wuthering Waves the more unsure I am about it for me. I really like exploring open world games and having a decent story is very important to me, but I’m not huge on combat - part of the reason why I like genshin is because the combat isn’t all that difficult even though I’ve never really bothered to farm artifacts. I enjoy some combat, but I’m not good at it and I get frustrated by it. For me, challenging combat has the potential to be the exact opposite of a fun time. So I’m absolutely going to be trying Wuthering Waves, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it just isn’t for me.
Bro got like half the Gacha game content creators in yt for this video 😂
What can I say? If you’re gonna do something, do it well.
I'm here to enjoy it. Will make it my main gacha game too. Jianxin, come home! ❤️
only one thing i want to say if this game runs 'SMOOTHLY' on low end pc more optimized apart from this it is really a splendid game and a critical competitor with games like GI and HSR 😇
17:50 dermatophagia team?
Hey bro like challenges just give man but still waiting for this game
At the start, it will be a decent 1 million or hover around that number.
And then at most, I can suspect a mild success where around maybe 50k stay for the long hall depends on how the game improves and the harder challenge doesn't drive people away.
I think you don't really get the scale of these games 😅. 50k players would be horrible, that means the game failed and can't sustain itself. And i doubt WuWa will ever drop so low. Around 7-10 million players will probably keep playing the game long term. Release numbers can reach anywhere up to 60-80 mil.
@@faresty7279 Good luck with that hypertherical 60-80 million.
Like you double the pre-register number and you make it sound achievable when that mostly half of that 30 million could potentially be botted by re roller, I believe the actual people that pre-register is high I doubt it actually that big.
@@aibadenshi Pre registrations are always lower than day 1 number.
@@faresty7279 Doubt it.
@@faresty7279 Doubt it.
I 100% everything in genshin. Most of people get burnt out over genshin cause they try to c6 5* characters. I played since launch everyday literally. I'm a die hard fan.
If they can stick around for 5 years, yes
It will succeed!! booba don't lie. And yes the abs and pecks too.
There's a server issue going on... Wuthering waves is not available on play store for some reason
this👆
It's not even out yet....
That is an issue with playstore they confirmed on discord. It will be back soon.
It literally just came back to the playstore for me. Check again.
It's back already
it will succeed, but with its own way and community, not directly (entirely) competing with genshin, knowing both game have different core gameplay, like Genshin very casual and easy game, meanwhile you know kurogame like to punish their player with damn difficult challenge 💀, so IMO both genshin and wuwa is like 2 different stream of rivers that never cross each other, and im fine with that, knowing people have their own preference with games. 👍
i want this game too Succeed
Me: just a NEUTRAL enjoyer of something new..
While others banter for the internet’s amusement!
weirdly enough, i said it would succeed since CBT 1 and again just recently showing numbers aswell xD Also, awesome job showing these creators some love
looks to make good money with a decent player base after initial hype dies down.... hoyo still king thou, so it's a failure :p if your looking for a genshin killer.
Yes. The only Genshin killer is HoYo's next open-world Gacha.
No more hoyo games, I'm sick of them @@Stixxy
@@kaedeAoi27 Just don't forget who paved the way in this space. I'll always respect them for that.
@@Fxrrxt2x no matter who paved what, just no more from hoyo. Their games all end up yapping and puzzles with minimal endgame. I play both HSR and genshin btw.
I hope it isn’t too similar to PGR, because I dropped PGR.
I play PGR and I really don't understand all the grandeur that non PGR players say about it. I think they just hear all the praise about it and take it as absolute gospel as to why WuWa will be great. They're not talking about all the other problems that the game has.
Of course will successful
They don't eat genshin's lunch but maybe their breakfast lol
Wuthering Waves would definitely be a success but it doesn't have a certain condition that worked extremely favourably to genshin, that being a pandemic which gave people extra time to grind genshin and find comfort in it
Which is fine. Genshin paved the way, so Kuro can now have the opportunity to refine.
RIP TOF
Lmao
Wasn’t the beta for genshin barely top what wuthering waves have in pre downloads?
Yes it will succeed
no duh genshin was shit on at first and now it was unknown game. if not for genshin wuwa wouldn't even had got made kuro always copying hoyoverse.
Summer skin.... yes
It all comes down to the China and Japan markets. It doesn't matter if it's successful in the western or other Asian communities. That's where the money is... I would love for it to be a great success like initial HSR but the reactions to WW in China and Japan has been quite lackluster.
ToF was hated heavily in China and Japan but it's still makes millions each month. It doesn't really matter.
No one play Tof no one care this game is die long time ago@@faresty7279
Not really lackluster
Wuwa JP has 200k+ subcribers on twitter and on china the official account has 2,5m followers and more than 15m pre reg on china alone
when they are going to launch for PC version
you are out of your mind if you don't think this will be successful, lol
I dont care if this game S or F, i will enjoy it until the end no matter what, done.
It can't do as much as genshin because genshin appeals to casuals rather well but this game will take the fighters
everyone knows the answer. but the most important thing is, did I eat my sandwich?
Depends. What did you have on it?
It will succeed and hopefully put pressure on genshin to do better in terms of treating their players better
Alexa Play: We Are Family‼️
we have 5 days to make covid2 and re-create what happened to genshin
yo bruv
Hey hey!!
ÆÆÆÆAAAYYYEEERAAAAAAT
:D
I don't care the game is good or bad I just want install supers characters
Looks like a genshin clone
I just really hope that 16gb ram need is not real
I hope they will never make characters like zhongli or neuvi, since they will break the very core of wuthering waves's gameplay
As long the game is polished and will manage a steady content update cycle it will be successful
Just stop constantly putting it against Genshin or other HOYO games
Aside from the Genshin Burnout from the player base including myself, I think the release of WuWa will help Geshin to improve their game in terms of service, and they'll realize how shitty their game have become.
Genshin really needs competition and WuWa is the right game for that.
