I remember once in my 7th grade music class, we had a homework assignment to break down a song we liked using the musical terms we learned in class. Of course, because I was 12 and deep into vocaloid, I did Servant of Evil. And of course, for the sections on the artist and what the song was about, I had to write a way too detailed explanation on what vocaloid is, who Len and Rin are, and what the plot of the song was about. Now I realize that my middle school music teacher was definitely not getting paid enough to read any of that.

Vocaloid is a weird phenomenon, because I end up coming back to the fandom every three years or so, and everything is just as good as it was when I left. I think this might be the only true “timeless” music, because it rocked when I was 13, when I was 17, when I was 20, and still now when I’m 24.

I joined the vocaloid fandom about a year ago, and that was one of the first videos i watched, in hopes of knowing what I should listen to first. Coming back to this one year later and realizing that I can sing along to almost all of them low-key makes me tear up :')
Sadly, compared to other people I can't say that I was in the golden age of Vocaloids or that I'm a very old fan.
I'm a relatively new person to this fandom, but I want to jump in here since this is one of my favorite types of songs ever and I love it all, so I hope to slowly get to know more and more songs to the point where I can know all the Playlists of any kind.

Welcome! I'd like to strongly recommend Hitoshizuku × Yama△ (Hitoshizuku-P and Yama△ work together so often that they share a CZcams channel). They're especially good at songs that tell a story, and I was genuinely shocked that Bad ∞ End ∞ Night wasn't on this list.

Nah. I was there when the fandom was actually dead as fuck during 2017-2018 and I can confidently say it has been getting a revival, so you don't have to worry.

It's been like 10 years since I have heard of Vocaloid but I never shown any interest. I used to see my friends getting addicted to Vocaloid songs. On rare instances, I once learned that one of my favorite producers (Porter Robinson) used a Vocaloid in his songs in Worlds album and I was quite surprised because I thought there was an actual person singing in those songs. Now in my 20's upon discovering Vtubers particularly Hololive, they always sing Vocaloid songs and one of those songs that I liked was Happy Synthesizer (if you are a fan of Hololive, you most likely know why). Now I'm here in this video looking for more songs lmaoooo 😂
