    If you hold down the tempo button on the keyboard you can change to external tempo/sync that way, no need to go into the preset editor to change that. Does anyne know where to find the user manual for the preset editor? Many thanks!

    • @itsGratuiTous
      @itsGratuiTous  Před 3 lety

      Hi Sharon, yes, holding down TEMPO is a quick fix for internal to external, however, it’s only a temporary fix that will have to be done each time you turn on the Oxygen Pro keyboard. If you set it up in the Preset Editor like I show, you only have to do it once.

    Hello! May I know whether this keyboard is compatible with the half-pedaling function of continuous expression pedals such as Roland DP-10, Yamaha FC3A or Korg DS-1H (Sending cc through 0-127 depending on the pressure applied) please? I would appreciate so much if you would help me with that question.

      @@itsGratuiTous thank you so much for your reply! I still have not bought any half-pedalling supported VSTi as it would be a waste if the keyboard itself does not support it at all. I have Garritan CFX in my mind to start tho.
      I need to get a continuous sustain pedal, a keyboard that supports that and a VSTi that is also compatible with the above all to make it works. That is why I need to research more and ask😂

    I've been looking for an affordable MIDI keyboard and this stuck to my eye. But reading about the pitch wheel responsiveness problem, I started to doubt taking this one. Is there any sort of workaround or a potential fix for it coming any time soon? Because I really like this MIDI keyboard overall.

    • @itsGratuiTous
      @itsGratuiTous  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah the pitch wheel is still buggy, but honestly, after 10 years of using FL Studio, I RARELY (if ever) use the pitch wheel. It's always easier to program that stuff with your mouse afterward. If you do use the Pitch Wheel for that "hip-hop" lead, then I would not suggest this, but that is a very particular situation.
      It's been really enjoyable for workflow, and that is what matters to me anyways... the semi-weighted keys are nice, has the LOOP button on transport buttons, and has tons of "bells and whistles"

      @@itsGratuiTous After researching the web for while I might have stumbled across a possible solution. Too bad I can't try it out without having the actual product at hand. I guess with or without the pitch wheel working I'll get this specific MIDI keyboard either way.

    • @itsGratuiTous

      Yeah as mentioned, I think the workflow outweighs the little Pitch Wheel bug.. (M-Audio tried updating the firmware to fix it, but it didn't work lol.. maybe one day, but as mentioned, it's little.. at least to my workflow.. I NEVER use the pitch wheel...)

    • @itsGratuiTous
      @itsGratuiTous  Před 2 lety

      I have not used Analog Lab.. and my review was strictly for the FL Studio DAW.. but the MIDI Keyboard allows you to map your knobs to a VST's parameters like any other MIDI Keyboard would work.
      In terms of their "custom presets" for different VSTs.. I cannot say for that stuff.
      If you use FL Studio, this is a great MIDI Keyboard (as I share in-depth in the review above!)

      Hey Adam, I will be coming out with a "how to make your VST knobs in FL Studio" soon, which will relate to general mapping of knobs/sliders to VST parameters. Your question regarding switching presets via the MIDI Keyboard is do-able, but I think you need to set up a MIDI Script.. I'd have to look into it further. Hey Adam - I have just released a 5-Part Oxygen Pro GETTING STARTED Video Series --> itsGratuiTous.com/youtube-playlist/oxygen-pro-series/ - I will look further into the "flip through different sounds on MIDI Keyboard controller".. I know this is possible for "FLEX" native FL Studio VST, unsure about other DAWs. It could be added into a new version of the MIDI Script. I also will be updating to OXYGENPROv2 MIDI Script in the next day or two for everyone if you'd like.

      Hey Richard! Did you somehow switch to a different preset? Or are you in DAW mode rather than PRESET mode? Also.. I will be coming out with a video regarding mapping knobs etc soon in FL Studio.. it stores it in XML language I think in your FL Studio files which is important to backup for each particular controller…. Yeah, it stores the midi maps in an .XML file (I think), which you can modify if you’d like (gets technical). But they advertise the Oxygen Pro as FL Studio compatible. You can select FL Studio in DAW options and yet why do you need the external script?
    I used to have Novation Impulse 61, I don't know if I like the absolute encoders.
    I don't know if I prefer Arturia Beatstep and Keystation 61 Mk3 together as a setup.

    • @itsGratuiTous
      @itsGratuiTous  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey there! - The Oxygen Pro has a DAW mode and a Preset mode. The DAW mode was quite buggy with FL Studio, so you'll want to use Preset mode inside FL Studio!
      For the external script, by default M-Audio has the LOOP button as switching the SNAP.. rather than switching from SONG MODE to PATTERN MODE..
      I don't understand why they would set it up like that..
      So the FREE MIDI Script for the Oxygen Pro 49 I wrote sets up the transport buttons like how I normally see a MIDI Keyboard work in FL Studio, that's all the script does.
      (The FREE Script is easy to install, doesn't effect performance..)
      You can download that FREE MIDI Script for the Oxygen Pro from my review page, where I also have a separate video showing how to install a MIDI Script in FL Studio!:
      itsGratuiTous.com/reviews/m-audio-oxygen-pro-49-review/
      I also have a paid premium preset which you import to the M-Audio Oxygen Pro Preset Editor.. it sets up the knobs and sliders over the 4 different banks with different colors for a good workflow:
      itsGratuiTous.com/product/m-audio-oxygen-pro-premium-user-preset/
      I actually really like the absolute encoders on this Oxygen Pro.. they feel built well and work great while in PRESET MODE in FL Studio.
      Also, if you read my article on "What to Look for in a MIDI Keyboard", you will see knobs and sliders are not that important for me in a MIDI Keyboard:
      itsGratuiTous.com/what-to-look-for-when-buying-a-midi-keyboard-for-fl-studio/
      I cannot speak on the Arturia hardware.. maybe one day I'll try it out.
