10 Years of Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 MMC's in SMRT Buses ✨

Owo my favorite model officially became 10 Years :D
The Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 MMC's was introduced to SMRT Buses in 2014,marking the very first Double Decker model for them.
launched on 13 July 2014,it made it's debut on Service Trunk 972 and followed by 190 weeks after.
With a total of 516 units (Batch 1 & 2),The ADL is a common face mostly to the northern and northwest areas.
SMB 5001A,is the demonstrator of the E500 Series for SMRT Buses,and being the only one to be fully assembled in Guilford[ADL's old UK Manufacturing location],Scotland while the rest was assembled in Zuhai[though the chassis is bulid in Pasir Gudang,Malaysia].
Running with the Cummins ISL Engine,the Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 MMC's is really a strong bus and a really good sounding bus aswell(very Unique).
With that,2024,it marks the 10 Years of ADL and SMRT Double Deckers which dang...time really flies fast isen't it?
(still remember small me causally hyping for it as it was that special)

This also means, SMRT has been operating double decker buses for 10 years already.
Anyway, hopefully they would bring in some ADL E500 into the Jurong West Bus Package when they take over in September.
After all, Soon Lee Bus Depot only cannot accommodate bendy bus only, but definitely able to accommodate any double decker bus.
If the ADL E500 can come to Jurong West, and permanently deploy on the feeder routes, or the intra-town trunk routes like 185, that would really be a great bus model upgrade.
