Hey I'd like to let you know that this game is part of the reason I almost failed high school sophomore year. I played your game so fucking much I nearly failed German.
@@tmtmtl3089 my German teacher didn't care about us tbh. at the end of the second semester he lost 1/2 of my assignments I had turned in (360 repeating words, every day, five days a week) and took my grade from an A to a D, so me playing wouldn't have changed anything. Fuck that guy.
@@glorytoukraine5890 He lost a few other students' assignments, but he'd been a teacher there for like thirty years, his son is a teacher at the school, and he had like four or five grandsons going through the system. I doubt the input of one student that was there for a year (I joined after freshman year, left after sophomore) would have changed much, because the school was severely underfunded.
As far as constructive feedback, I would say, the game starts out exciting but loses it quickly. Between buying all the upgrades and getting 100%, after a certain point, the breeding becomes arduous. Each monster will have to be bred I believe around 45 times(for ~1000 possible pairs) Meaning as you progress, the progress feels slower. I know this game just launched, but if I were to give any suggestions for future additions, I would suggest doing something about the repetitive nature of breeding. Like make it easier or harder or add gimmicks to make it more interesting. That said, I've only played about 10%, so I'm sure there's more I haven't seen and I really love the concept and-- bro, let's be real, this was made by Neil Fucking Cicierega. All I should really be doing here is thank the Internet Gods for blessing us with another morsel of free, handcrafted entertainment. So, thank you, Neil.
To be honest I'm surprised people are going for all crossbreeds! I made a huge number of pairs mainly so everyone would have a different experience playing. What I should've done was have some sort of soft ending or a different goal.
My three most played games are The Sims 3, The Sims 4, and Monster Breeder. You'll never guess which I have the most hours in. EDIT: You know, I really thought the sarcasm would come across fine, as this was commented on a video about Monster Breeder, but I guess not. That's okay. The answer was Monster Breeder.
Hey neil this game ruined my life I stayed up all night playing it and I fell asleep in class. I care about my monsters too much. Also I really love a lot of the smaller details like all of the descriptions that are only on specific squares, how the blob can consume other monsters while breeding or how the gremlins multiply. The puns are a really good touch too
Neil Cicierega, I commend you for the boundless guessing game of monster breed names and the delight in my guessing correctly (see One Headlight = Cyclops + Evil Car). I also blame you for making me look up who Chad Kroeger was. Damn you Nickelback reference!
So glad I have found your stuff again! My best friend, who I met in high school and is still my best friend now, introduced me to your stuff. We were talking recently, and your old stuff came up, which led to a search of what stuff you were working on now. Thus I discovered your podcast with Kevin and Ryan, and I'm having so much fun catching up on what the three of you are doing. And then of course I had to go find your CZcams channel, and I have subscribed and clicked the bell. :)

Predator you find in the jungle Pinhead you find in the labyrinth in a specific spot with chains Godzilla can be found next to any water And there's also a tornado: you follow the wind in the desert
It's a shame you can't breed crossbreeds, but I think the reason for that is all of the monsters are named by Neil and not computer generated. At that level of combinations it's too many names
My ranch got raided or something, and I lost all 30 monsters. And just before that an undercover cop fined me for 1030 bucks. So I had basically no money or monsters (slightly better gear but that's it) and I quit. I'll play this some other time if I remember to, but it's a fun little game. I love all the names for different hybrids. And how you can breed anyone you like. Like Freddie Krueger and a Blob (like they'd agree to mate in real life).
Played 15 minutes, Caught the Terminator, Caught a Ghost, Made them Breed, Made an EX-Terminator, It said "Hasta BOO Vista BOO!", GOTY All years.
😭😭
Only real game devs announce the game when it’s finished and ready to be played by everyone, you’re on a roll Cicerega.
this game lets you force cookie monster to breed with shrek i think it's perfect

There must be speedrun tactics. I will find them. There's a crazy amount of pages in the game's wiki.
