  • In this Perth Writers Festival talk, Tariq Ali argues that very little has changed since George W Bush left the White House, especially when it comes to foreign affairs. Writer and filmmaker Tariq Ali has written seven novels and over 20 books on world history and politics (including The Clash of Fundamentalisms, Bush in Babylon, Pirates of the Caribbean , The Duel and The Obama Syndrome). He has also penned a number of plays for stage and screen. He currently worked as an editor for New Left Review.

How Obama became a black face for the white agenda became clear from the way the City group of bank executives came up with 31 US cabinet ministerial positions in 2008, one month before the Election Day. Now the same group who ran the corporate mega operation for Obama is running the campaign for the most corrupt and dangerous US presidential candidate in recent history, Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton. Reading who John podesta is and who else is involved in managing democratic nominees campaign would clear the slightest doubt one might have on the real dark nature of the Clinton campaign.

why don't palestinians have equal rights NOW if israelis are such a benevolent people. if they were so benevolent would they put millions of arabs into an open air prison and deprive them of basic necessities? if you people think they are so damn benevolent what do you make of the gross disparity in the death toll of israelis and the death toll of palestinians. common israeli's may be perfectly nice but that doesn;t change the fact that the Israeli elite has been allowed to continue merciless slaughter and deprivation of the palestinians.

+Jeremy Swanson grow up. We are allowed to criticise the Israeli STATE without hating all Jews. Only nut jobs claim to hate all Jews. Most of us reasonable people have no problem with Jewish people, but have deep problems with the state of Israel and its ruling class. Much like we have deep problems with our own ruling class.
It's amazing how so many isreal trolls stand up for their ruling elite...they don't care about you. Most Israelis have more in common with working people the world over, than they do with their own ruling elite. Stop supporting their actions.

Analysis or Quran reveals that Allah is the alias of Muhammad
that justify and cover and find excuses for the actions of prophet
The most is the allocation of War booty Allah in Quran explicitly and unambiguously authorized Muhammad to recieve 20% of War looting plunder including 20% of women and children as slaves (referred to as possessions of right hand) captured after all men who surrended were killed
Allah in Quran explicitly and unambiguously endorsed free sex with slave women and children and this did consistitute adultery and was not punishable offense
Muslims have not evolved in consciousness over 1401 years and are
fixed on the idea that Quran is word of GOD
Quran endorses slavery human Trafficking abductions and trading of slaves in the market places and violates basic human rights and dignity as enshrined in the United Nations Human Rights Declarations worldwide
Slavery was abolished in 1 800 but still endorsed in Quran
Quran is word of God ( alias of Muhammad) and cannot be erased
Muhammad had more than 13 wives including a 6 year old child innumerable slaves for sexual gratification
God took 6 days to create the heavens and earth or entire Creation but ALLAH over 27 years to reveal Quran
      to the Arabs
Either Allah was senile or constipated and the Arabs were mentally retarded
The History of Jihad from Muhammad to Isis reveals the eternal genocide of peaceful civilizations by Muhammad Quran Islam and Muslims
The partitioning of India 🇮🇳 into Pakistan 🇵🇰 and India is often blamed on Gandhi and Jinnah
It was an act of God to showcase the eternal madness of Pakistan 🇵🇰to the eternal sacredness of India 🇮🇳 and Sanatan Dharma

Not really sure what you mean about the arab spring, considering america the supposed home of democracy cant make its democratic system to work, how can you expect a country just coming out of dictatorship to do so.

Saudi Arabia's monarchical dictatorship is more vicious than ever. And the current Egyptian dictator from the military seems to be as bad, if not even worse, than Mubarak. Israel continues to be a bitter apartheid state becoming ever more fascistic so he seems to be right on that score. But otherwise, at least relative to the promise of the Arab Spring, his crystal ball seems to be a little bit cracked. I like Tariq Ali though. Not hatin' on him. 😊
