  • Its always tricky buying equipment at auction, especially if you buy it sight unseen! Luckily, this Liebherr 942 turned out to be a pretty good machine!

You should make the belly pan instead of buying one. Unless you get it for super cheap as F. Then scree it & buy the thing. Just a thought due to you guys always getting in unused steel plates.

Those liebherr can be really good machines. I ran them too for awhile and loved em. Infact, first piece of equipment I ever ran was a 942 like this. New equipment sometimes comes with all kinds of problems, and this older reliable equipment can last a long time without major issues. Heck the undercarriage on yours looks way better than the one I ran for a few years..

Awesome machine brother, that yoke wouldn't worry us here in NZ. We would just spend a morning in the workshop and fab one up.

It seems like the yoke piece and the shackle could have easily been made by a local welding shop, what do you say? Obviously it is nice to find the right part but just wondering why they are so special.

I thought this exact same thing!! I hope he sees this comment and tells us his reasoning. I feel like it would have been easier and cheaper to have it built.

They add features and make the machine less usable.
    Nice edit, thanks for sharing.

I’m glad y’all open the one back up over at Waco We Use to haul refrigerators and washer dryers over there We know a man that worked on them He would tell us how to to Take them apart so it would bring more money he probably had 20 acres of them things we used to dig around in the woods for them. Try to go make some money we where teenagers. there is probably still stuff over there if a man could dig it up.

Gear used on large construction projects and logging operations never gets proper maintenance in my area lol they let a three hour job turn into a three day job and expect it fixed in five minutes lol

Would it be a fair assumption, that you’re better at buying machinery than your brother is. Since his mini was smoking and barely made it on the trailer. 😂😂😂😂😂
