It all seems very Biba (that was '1970s do the 1920s') and given the sound is quite glam rock, I reckon that was what Goldfrapp were going for, with this video.

i would like to reinstate all the offence. this is only ahead of its time if the person claiming that has no knowledge of anything more than a few years old and little sense of curiosity, and that would make them a person I think should be offended more often

Nice. It conjures up old memories of "Spirit in the Sky" by Norman Greenbaum (1969), which was a huge power-rock number on the radio when I was in my teens.

@@mariahspapaya quite obviously, it's not pure glam rock. but it has heavy glam rock undertones. like a lot of Goodfrapp's stuff, they "borrow" quite heavily from 70s and 80s music.
