    Been using a harbor freight ultrasonic for years, from carb cleaning to removing paint from architectural iron door hardware and hinges. Only wish it was bigger

      Yeah tell me about it LOL. Dry soda blast works great too.

    You can find a container that will fit carb and also fit in ultrasonic. Fill with Berryman's and carb parts, seal, and then place in ultrasonic. Heated Berryman's ultrasonic cleaner. I have also seem it used on fuel injectors.

    That green Cleaner Solution is just rebranded Phosphoric acid. Also White Vinegar in ultrasonic works wonders for cheep.

    One more thing about vapor blast. The carb must really be cleaned out well as the abrasives have a way of staying in the threads. When not clean properly, the screws will get stuck because of the glass beads. That is it Matthew MCRepair.

    Dawn dish detergent works well in the ultrasonic cleaner vs the $70 special cleaner you show

    The best method of keeping cost at bay is to put carb parts into a clear plastic container. The container can be filled with whatever you prefer and just put into the tank. This way the solution will stay super clean. Works well for me. Try it and you will be surprised. Good day.

    Awesome video man! Could you dry soda blast the gaskets first and then finish it off in the vapor blaster? That end scene was pretty sweet!

    • @HTMR
      @HTMR  Před 4 lety

      Yes but I kinda converted the dry cab to wet. Not going back LOL.

      I used 170-325 mesh glass bead this week for the first time. It's pretty amazing! I would like to have 3 machine. one dry and two wet! one wet with mgb and the other with ao! =)

    Just realize that their is a dull protective coating on the aluminum. If you blast it off, it will corrode much easier.

    I would never use any not soluble media in carbs or engine parts. Though it may look way better, it does justify taking a chance to get particules in a circuit or friction surface.

    with vapor blasting your getting a mechanical connection between the soda and pressure. Thats why it always looks better. Its like comparing a touchless carwash to a soft brush car wash on a black car. The soft brush will always win. Makes me think I am gonna go out and buy a vapor blast cabinet. Wet or dry. Hmmmm.
